Animators

Animators are a unique group of people. They take a drawing, something most people would be satisfied with, and they are not. They have to see this character alive, moving, talking, laughing, dying, or killing... whatever the motivations of the character, the animator has to see it. They toil, small doodles become large projects, and the passion for movement constantly drives them to create the films we enjoy. Part of the unexpected pleasures of having the film gallery was seeing people eager to share these projects with us. Several projects arose that seemed to be created with such passion that I followed them.

The Projects

Cassandra Project

~Cassandra-Project is something I stumbled on frequently in the early stages of the Film gallery coming to life. I frequently came back to it to watch it again and again. This is a captivating project, with great depth of character and intense scene. The framing, camera moves and animation all add up to make this project an intense and mesmerizing film to watch. I'm impressed by people who have such a passion to create that they over come financial, and technical limitations to follow their passions to create.

Lady Ice

~lpdisney has been working on her Final Project for her Animation studies in Bezalel Academy of Art and Design. Its a Gorgeous film with amazing effects, fluid animation, and dazzling colours in a classic Disney style of animation, reminiscent of Pocahontas. Lady Ice will make you ache to see the final product. Liron's Animation collection, has several stages of the WIP of this film, all of them breathtaking! I've always appreciated filmmakers that let you see their rough work, and I love watching sections come to life. Really this shouldn't be missed for any classical animation enthusiast.

SmogTV

*SmogTV is an Internet content production studio accessible to the independent filmmaking community. They're a great addition to the Film community and I'd like for you to check them out, talk to them and show them what a great community we are!
