A tribute to those who Participated in the recent Okami contest.


There were many fine works out there that were not chosen for reasons that are unclear to the main of the DeviantArt community. I have browsed the entries and picked what I felt to be the most original of the works.

If I do not put your work onto this page it is not anything personal... I do not dislike you or your art I am simply looking for what stands out as original to me.

There is no art that is greater then any other art. Many people including myself believed the most important rule of the contest to be “Be Creative” True creativity holds no boundaries of skill style or experience. It is unfortunate that things were not stated clearer for those who participated... or that many of the participants were not informed when winners were announced. But for now it is a live and let live experience for many on da. I encourage everyone to continue to think different and find many outlets to express yourself threw. I have talked to a few people whom after this contest have lost the taste for da competitions. I know how it feels as I was one of the entries (no I did not post my either of my works in the above) and am very disturbed by this myself. But do not stop trying. Hopefully da will take this as a learning experience for future events. If certain rules need to be in place they may even consider having the contest sponsor both write the rules and perform the judging.
