Today I was watching a television show of a Dutch writer who was visiting disappearing and struggling minorities in Africa. Today he was visiting the Afrikaners, the old white ruling class of South Africa who are struggling to keep their heads up. Quite a big group of them are now unemployed or working for very low wages. They are (in general, Im not accusing anyone) quite nationalistic and group together in some places to get better paid work.
The other people he was visiting were the San-people. Most people know them as Bushmen. They originally were nomadic people, wandering across the vast plains of Africa. Sleeping behind and/or under bushes, hunting wildlife for food and not caring about nations borders. They were used by the old South African rulers (the white, ruling class in the days of Apartheid) in the army as trackers, as they knew the lands. Now they are looked upon as a lower class, discriminated and they cant even live the life they used to. The old men just get 200,= a month ($309,

as a pension from the army, but they live in poverty, trying to sustain their families who cant find work with that. Even the kings of some of those tribes cant feed themselves or their families.
It hurts me to see what we, as a human race do to each other. To our cultural heritage, to other human beings. It hurts me to see other people living in wealth, with plenty to feed entire countries and other people cant even scrape enough money together to get their basic needs. It hurts me to see that hunger, pain and humiliation as people, is not in our past, but still very real and alive these days.
So I want to dedicate this news feature to people, to everyone out there whos not able to make a righteous living. I want to dedicate this to all who try to make this world a better place. I want to dedicate this to all the women (as tomorrow is mothers day) who try to make a life for themselves and their children. And I call upon you, upon you all do use your power, as an internet user, as a person who is able to reach out to the world, to other people, to do what you can.
And to make it easy and simple for everyone, this is what you can do, right there, in your seat, behind your computer. Click on this link:
[link] and play the game. Its free, its easy and you help people by donating rice. Over 31 billion grains of rice have been donated up to this date, but we need to make it a lot more to help all those people out there. So spend some of your time, to feed other people!
Now, I want to make this news feature show you who you are doing this for. I decided to choose a few people around the world and bring them into the spotlights:
The San People (Bushmen)

Aboriginee (Aboriginals)

Mayan People

Please, help these people, think of ways to help them but donating rice through the website. Their cultures, their heritage is slowly disintegrating and they really need our help! Be creative, I am sure you can do it!
Love...

How many times can I break till I shatter?
After we saw their performance, my People to People delegation went back into the museum and saw a video of their history...so sad.
