Alright, so welcome to another round of DD-worthy artwork!!
Yeah, just one sentenced this time around...Well, um, after having spent over four hours writing everything for the
2nd anniversary special a few days ago, I kind of realized that any intro I write this week will...Well, look like crap in comparison.
So I'll this just end this part of the show early tonight, but not before mentioning that comments for the special are still appreciated. Seriously. Come on, the party's still going, & we want more guests! Get on in there & enjoy the great art + cake!!
Alright, with the stupid plug out of the way, let's get going already!
Okay, so if you don't know by now, the featured artists here each receive the Golden Fefcaine Award:

...My little prestigious token of appreciation for anyone who created some amazing, DD-worthy artwork. Plus it has a delicious milk chocolate center! And tiny little chunks of brownie & marshmallow mixed in with the chocolatey goodness as well!
Oh, & feel free to check out the Mini-DD Archive afterwards right here:
[link]Alright now, on with the show! Here's this week's Mini-DDs...

This delicious little pinup of
Lulu, one of my favorite
Final Fantasy characters, comes courtesy of *
setsuna22, who worked hard to make this beauty as stunning as possible. Between the general sultriness, slick style of it all, & an impressive amount of detail poured into everything right down to the smallest visible fiber of clothing, set really brings out the "fashion model" part of Lulu's design & creates one lovable piece of work in the process. Bravo!

Talk about some striking imagery! Once again, maybe there's some social commentary behind
The Rotten Apple by ~
KhaoticStorM, & maybe there isn't, but either way you can't deny that this is visually impressive. Perfectly dark & futuristic, colored amazingly well, & just swimming with a glorious amount of detail in every little area, this is one powerful Deviation that you truly need to see. Bonus points for the
Cloverfield inspiration, by the way.
TWENTY.ONE., =
Espador...It was inspired by the underrated
21, & it would've made an impressive poster for the movie as well. Heck, it'd be impressive under nearly any circumstances! Between the perfect use of the red/black/white color scheme, all the little details & gambling elements strewn about, & the way it all just feels so surreal & breezy, what's not to love about this fun Deviation?

Even if you think that the whole "Food with cute cartoonish expressions" concept is a bit clichéd around here, that's still no excuse to miss out on ~
karuishikawa's "Food EXPRESsions" series, which is home to several cool little cartoons. And
Food EXPRESsions 019 Taho is a definite highlight. Funny, cute,
& a nice tribute to his country's culture...That's a sweet combination right there (& sorry about the pun).

Psychotic, cartoonish anthro character meets Jackson Pollack. How can you go wrong with something like that?
Splatter by =
PsychoGlitch is a truly lovable piece of work, perfectly mixing together a delightfully over-the-top feeling of craziness (love the expressions) alongside several fun little random bursts of color & one wicked character design to create an enjoyable piece of insanity that isn't to be missed.

Feeling like a perfect mix of old-school kung fu entertainment & general otherworldliness,
4th Chamber by *
ontwerpje is a truly impressive & inspired piece of work. The way it just feels so calm & serene, yet so out there...Words actually fail me as how to perfectly describe all of it at the moment. Let's just say everything is pulled off so expertly right down to the little stars in the sky & leave it at that.

jakeliven may seem a bit "gimmicky" as a t-shirt design to some, but take a look at everything poured into it & tell me you wouldn't want to own a piece of this. The unique color scheme, the impressive style, the funky critter designs, & the nice little sense of humor...It all makes for one appealing piece of artwork, whether it's on a shirt or not. And make sure to check out the rest of jake's amazing gallery as well!

~
MAJESTRY's gallery of grafitti-styled creations & designs is truly a sight to behold, &
spacecake is definitely a standout there! A nice & bright mix of colors slipped in alongside a nice & simple creature design & impressive little touches in every area right down to the background...Truly a fun little Deviation that you need to check out.

Well,
Trippy by =
ivan-bliznak is quite well-named now, isn't it? A simple & fun little piece of eye candy, this Deviation succeeds thanks to it's bright & cheeerful color scheme & atmosphere, nice mix of appealing styles, & the general aura of lovable psychedelia that it (unsurprisingly) gives off. Sweet & impressive, you'd be foolish not to be impressed by it.
...& that's all for this week! If you have any comments, suggestions, etc., they'd be greatly appreciated! I hope you've all liked what I've featured this week, & I'll be back next week with nine more DD-worthy works of art! Sayanora until then! ^_^
