After somewhat of a hiatus due to lack of suggestions we're back in force with this dedicated project. Dedicated to what? not what, who: the Artistic Nude community!

What is this all about?
Community Choice started out as a simple series of articles by ^
misskittyoooo where deviants could choose one deviants gallery and pick three deviations from it to feature. In February I, ^
Helewidis gave a twist to that idea and asked the Senior community to choose one deviation from a gallery (in this case Artistic Nudes) and add a write-up explaining why they loved the piece so much and why we should see the it.
The project soon extend to non-seniors and took the form of Community Choices News Articles, embraced by several Gallery Directors and by everyone in deviantART. Alternating biweekly articles divided into Seniors community choice and non-Seniors community choice because everyone has got a thing to say when it comes to ART and EXPOSURE!
The goal of this project is simple: To provide a fun and simple way of featuring good work from deviantARTs galleries in a collaborative spirit between Gallery Directors and the community! As the project has grown you can choose to take part on this with more galleries and Gallery Directors and not only Artistic Nudes.
The purpose is to expose deviants artworks without the just post thumbs attitude - we feel this way the Featured works get the attention and respect they deserve!
And thats why the AR (Artist Relations) Team exists: to bring Unity into the Community while sharing ART! This is your chance to have Gallery Directors support the sharing of your chosen artwork and thoughts about it.
Your community, Your choice!

micjsWow! Look at the way the model's pose exudes the same energy as the stormy sky... She actually looks like part of the landscape. I also like the soft focus.

by *
chrismeredithThe reflections and the hues in this photo are so captivating. The way the model is touching the water... It's an earthy sensuality.

by *
cable9tubaI like the abstract-ness of this photo. The pose is beautiful, and the choice of having it in grayscale lends a kind of grace to the image.

by ~
JaydedPixieI enjoy this image because it's like a wild thing in captivity. ...A wild thing that may bite only if it feels trapped. It's an intense moment captured in a photograph.

by ~
jlorenzoIf only we could all fly without inhibition! I think that the lighting in this photo is what makes the models' pose work so well. It's like one of those moments that makes people feel like anything is possible.

kencredibleThis shot is just part of an amazing alternative gallery. =
kencredible has a great way of shooting his models in such a different way to how they are normally shown and this shot is no exception. Who would ever have guessed this was Apnea?

by *
AnneDuffyThe contrast in this shot is was grabs me in this shot, the erotic pose against the rusted old farm machine, the stormy clouds blowing the models hair, its one of my all time favourite DA nudes.

by *
misspixie93Such a gorgeous blend of vintage nude with an unusual angle and pose. The tones are beautiful and work perfectly with the flapper-esque makeup and hair styling.

by =
PerryGallagherA shot of one of my favourite models, Courtney Cruz, by one of my favourite photographers, =
PerryGallagher The use of natural light is stunning, the lines on the models passionate pose are wonderful, it is simple yet so effective.

by ~
d22dThis is one of the most unusual and eyegrabbing nudes I have ever seen on DA. Not only is this a series of film strips put together, but its also a series of male nudes. I've never seen anything quite like it, and the rest of this deviants gallery is just as unique and beautiful, be sure to check it out!

citronicAn impressive piece of work from the artistic nude gallery. The use of lighting, the posing of the model which so elegantly takes up all the frame and the overall quality of this shot makes it hard to believe it is a self-portrait.
The model reaches up, struggling to hold on to something or someone, trying to escape the darkness that surrounds him. There's more than meets the eye to this open to personal reflection and interpretations shot and I guess this is what in the end makes it a true piece of art.

by *
TransposureIf there was a "jaw-hitting-the-ground" award, I'm pretty sure this photograph would receive it. Can't even begin to imagine the elaborate set-up a shot like this would require and the fact that the model's pose seems so natural and relaxed, as if she were really floating in mid-air makes it even more impressive. Furthermore, the use of lighting enhances the surreal feeling of this shot and trully mesmerizes the viewer.

by ~
marrianI always thought such shots to be vaguely erotic, the way the model is exposed and at the same time concealed. This shot is beautifully composed, portraying the fragile, bent, female figure in an empty setting, contrasting her skintone to the blackness, highlighting every curve of her body as opposed to the strict, crude, square frame of the shot. A truly captivating photograph, a hidden "pearl" of the artistic nude scene.

by ~
UsmanBalochThe lighting embraces the model, enhancing every curve and muscle and bringing out the beauty of every little detail of this male figure. The pose bears a resemblance to ancient statues, giving the shot a timeless feeling. Besides this, the actual pose gives the model a unique dynamism, a sense of freedom. After all there couldn't be a freedom of soul without a freedom of the body and vice versa.

by *
josemanchadoThe tension in this shot is unreal, almost tangible. The elaborate fabric setting collaborates masterfully with the prowling pose of the model achieving a flow of energy that's bound to captivate the viewer. It's as if a sudden breeze of air breaks upon her body and lifts the fabric upwards.

by ~
oreo12The simplicity of a water nymph is wonderful, and yet the image really isn't as simple as it appears at first glance. There's some odd contrast that gives the water an almost metallic appearance. Every drop, every crevice in the rocks seems to jump out truer-than-life. The expression on the model's face is divine, and the way the shadow falls on it is perfect. The pose is calming, and yet the image takes your breath away.

by ~
jarmuschThe visual rhythm of the rows of beads accentuate the female form. The grainy texture helps to soften the skin. The pose is sensual. And the way the light falls off in the background really creates a nice balance to the image. I love the choice to use sepia tones.

by ~
Modele-CitizenThe composition is fantastic. I think the phone box actually accentuates how daring a shot this is, to the point of being kind of surreal. It places her in a location, and it's not just using an urban setting as a backdrop. For natural lighting, they probably couldn't have asked for anything better. The way her shoulders and hair are back-lit really pull her forward, and the depth-of-field aids that. And oh, yeah -- there's a stunningly beautiful woman in the picture, too!

by *
photoscotDavid's ongoing experiment to simply capture a conversation with the lovely Betcee May. No plan. Just a beautiful woman rolling around naked on the floor for a few hours. It doesn't get anymore natural than that. And you can tell in many of the shots that they're really talking about something passionately. In this shot, I find myself dying to know what she's about to say.

by ~
sifuThe powerful expressions. The placement of their hands. The timing of that wave, and the suggestion that it brings. The models. The Light. The Contrast. The stormy clouds behind them. So much intensity that I can't even compose what I'm trying to say. This one really should be a daily deviation.

by *
btsculptorthis is a stunning piece, the mix of colors, the pose, the shadows, just gorgeous

by *
spiralwebgorgeous use of light, and slightly confusing pose (i thought there were two people at first!) make for a beautiful and unusual nude portrait!

by =
PerryGallagherI know it already has a lot of faves and views, but i just keep coming back to this image again and again. The sheen of the dark skin and the paleness of the white skin is just so pleasing to the eye, and the little details, like the opposite-color nail varnish is just spot on. even the title is perfect! its a wonderful, beautiful, truly artistic nude and i really passionately feel it deserves more attention!

by ~
elearagewonderful light and composition, and the pose is very emotive. her facial expression intrigues me, its hard to tell whether its pleasure or pain. its a gorgeous example of an artistic nude, i hope you like it too!

by *
LovittGirlThis is also a lovely nude self portrait. Rachel Lovitt is an artist I have seen only get better and better in the last year or so. Her nude self portraits range from raw and emotional, to this, the most polished piece I've seen from her yet.

by ~
GaladieraThis image is really a beautiful bodyscape. The soft texture and warm tones are lovely, and I think what makes it for me is the way the fabric folds under her breasts, emphasizing the points of her ribcage.

by *
Amiba shortly - choosing "full view" you can be really surprised by this photo!

Kleemass This is a beautiful composed photo - Circles of life - the title says all...

carlostattooThis shot has absolutely wonderful DOF and the composition is just lovely. It draws the eye to the natural beauty of the body as well as the clarity of the water. There's a lot to look at without being overwhelming.

Drug-Free A highly emotive photo, with both the expression and direction of the photo going for it. Truely awesome.
