Deviation Background Tone Feature

`treijim:icontreijim: reports, May 30
I'm suggesting a simple option where users can set the tonal value (brightness) of the background colour individually for their deviations. If you want to support this feature, please support this article. Please read to get a better idea of what I'm talking about.

DeviantART - iPhone compatible - good or bad?

~buoptip:iconbuoptip: reports, May 12, 2008
So I've gotten a chance to browse through the new iPhone site and it's very very easy to browse, there are many pros to this new site but there are still some cons at the moment. So on with the review and screenshots.

The pros of the new site are that

1. It doesn't crash the safari browser when logging in anymore
2. Easy navigation
3. Can view the gallery, faves, journal entries, and other deviantART members you are watching
4. Your deviantID shows on your page
5. You can use the menu button to view any of the deviantART galleries.
6. You can add comments and view comments on deviations

The cons of the new site:

1. There is no way to view your new messages or notes, etc.
2. The menu has a lag in loading the next sub category
3. You cannot search at all from what I can see
4. You cannot write a new journal entry from your iPhone or iPod touch
5. There is no option to view the normal site in case you do want to view your new messages or notes. (This option has been incorporated into a few iPhone compatible sites I have seen)

So my conclusion is that it's really a great way to browse deviantART now. No more crashes when I try to log in. This is still the first version of the iPhone compatible deviantART.com so I'm hoping to see the cons fixed in future versions of the site. Overall it's a fantastic.

And now some pics for those who don't have an iPhone or iPod Touch: (click to view full image)

I personally don't mind. I guess I do different things when I am sitting in front of a computer from when I am mobile. I would really like to know how it was implemented. Good work!

I still prefer the original. iPhone version doesn't have enough pics on one page...
~MLODSGNS:iconMLODSGNS: May 22, 2009, 10:38:44 PM
i tried using this site and quickly realized that i couldn't check my messages or comments. It showed a circle badge with the number of notifications i had, but when i tried opening it, it would send me back to the login page. every time. kinda sad.
