As there is so much information on DeviantART already it would be a pointless exercise recreating a guide to cover copyright. Therefore we have consolidated all the information on dA regarding these issues we can find. All deviants can now be in possession of the facts and therefore, fully understand that if images are used without the correct permission their submissions will be removed. If these warnings are repeatedly ignored further action could ensue. The worst case scenario is that those whose copyrights you have violated could take legal action against you and we wouldn't want that situation to arise.
This is a must read for all deviants who submit to the Wallpaper Galleries.

reports, May 15, 2008I hate it when I try to use pictures from the internet and you modify it for your picture but it's considered copyright.
I don't have a computer at home so I have to do everytihng a school so the only place I can get my pictures is google, besides my scans I can't do anything else And I want to know if I put a Copyright symbol on my pictures will they leave it alone? I bet alot of people ask this or maybe I'm just weird.
I've had two of my pictures deleted from this copyright policy thing:
Dirge of Cerberus
and
final impact
both posters I created with diferrent pictures from different places and I am wondering if I should ask...
To all people who trust others if you'd let me use your drawings or work for a poster I would put your usernames into the comment box along with the name of the actual picture name along with it, if you are willing to do this for me I would be grateful I make posters by cuting and pasting stuff check it out here:[link] if you want...
I know this is a little odd of a request but please I need help and trust me I am not one to keep all the credit I just enjoy the comments I get. I ma also a friend to anybody I promise everybody that I won't steal anything without asking permission! if you are willing check my file and read my journal to find out what I need, and leave a link to your picture your willing to let me use. I know I probably won't get alot but I really need your help!

dA has a great stock gallery. Go over there and you can find plenty images to work with. Just be sure to give credit to the deviant who supplied the stock and any other rules they may have.
