Medieval Days & Knights 2 ...... The Legends

=CausticStock:iconCausticStock: reports, May 17
Second in my series of the Medieval days and Knights news article's (part 1 here - [link] ) this time focusing on art work that portray the myth's and legends found in Medieval England, with some folk tales left over from our Pagan/Celtic times ... Enjoy

King Arthur - The legendary king of Britain .. For ever watching these shores, ready to rise in the hour of need - [link]

And finally the supposed final resting place of the King at the ruins of Glastonbury abbey

Guinevere - The legendary queen consort of King Arthur - [link]

Arthurian - Some various characters from the Arthurian Legends - [link]

And no mention of Arthur would be complete without a nod to Mr Lord Tennyson and his wonderful poem "The Lady of Shalott"

Herne the Hunter - Celtic Pagan mythological being but also in the employ of King Richard II - [link]

The Green Man - Nature spirit of Pagan times in England seen extensively in carving's on medieval Abbeys and churches - [link]

Dragon's - And what legends would be complete without them ...?

Arthurian themed stock

I write the words that come and go
That swirl around all to and fro
Inside my head, where they scream and shout,
Pushing and shoving to find a way out
to wind up on paper for all to peruse-
interpret my words any way that you choose.
