The "Show Them You Love Them contest" is to benefit and raise awareness for the abused and unwanted animals you find in shelters worldwide. We are trying to help show the DA community the love that we pet owners have for our animals, and the pain and desolation of those lonely few who roam the streets without love and affection. This contest is open to everyone, whether you have an animal or not, and has two divisions: Amateur and Professional. Though it is photography (petography to be more specific) only! The Grand Prize is a 3 year subscription, monetary donations to humane societies within North America, a free print, 3 news articles and nearly 40 journal features!

This contest has received a fantastic amount of acclaim and has been sponsored by multiple clubs within the DA community! Please love this article if you support this contest and help spread the word by advertising in your journal! Even if you only get 3 or 4 page views per day, it can still make a difference in this contest!

The ~staring-at-you-club is having a contest for our club I.D. The contest end on January 5 2010. We have a small number of entries, so the competition is not all that tough.
Here are the rules and guide lines:
1.The pic must pertain to eye(given since that is what the club is about)

Fantasy Contest

Theme:The theme of this contest is "Gray City - Fantasy".

One rule: it has to have a fantasy element. Other than that, anything goes!

What does this mean? It means that you can submit anything that "Gray City" inspires you to make. Could be fanart, could be any medium. So if you want to draw, say, one of your favourite characters from Lord of the Rings in gray, that's fine. If you want to draw Harry Potter hovering on his broom over a gray city skyline, that's fantastic. If you want to draw mermaids exploring an expansive underwater gray city, wonderful. If you want to make a gray-themed necklace, spectacular. Link in gray? Fabulous! It doesn't even have to be art. You could submit a story or poem, or something crafty, a costume, anything goes. It just has to be "Gray City" inspired and have an element of fantasy to it. :)

To submit: send me a deviant note with a link to your piece. It has to be uploaded to your Deviantart account, but you can submit links to other pictures of the piece along with the Deviantart link. DO NOT LEAVE ME A COMMENT AT MY DEVIANT HOME PAGE OR MY JOURNAL. Chances are, I may not notice it right away.

Deadline: Contest closes June 20, 2008. So you have a little over a month to make and upload pictures of your entry. I will open voting that weekend. I will accept votes only after that date, and ONLY by note. There will be a journal entry up to remind everyone to vote. Voting will end on June 27, 2008, and the winners will then be announced.

Prizes: I will make all of the prizes this time around. :) But if you have an idea for future contest prizes, feel free to note me about it.

(1) The first prize winner will be awarded a three-month Deviantart subscription, a custom bookmark or portrait drawing of ANY character they like, and a choice between a custom dream catcher or a piece of jewelry.

(2) The second prize winner will be awarded a three-month Deviantart subscription and either a custom dream catcher or a piece of jewelry.

(3) The third prize winner will have a choice between a piece of jewelry, a custom dream catcher, or a bookmark drawing of a character of their choice.

As you can see, these prizes are somewhat negotiable. :) We'll see when we get there.

All entrants will receive a feature in *jamberry's journal. If you have any questions, send me a deviant note! :D
