Sunrise Phenomena

~Ab-Lucem:iconAb-Lucem: reports, May 18, 2008
In this article, again, I avoided scenery that was manipulated to a degree where reality becomes distorted. As I described in previous article, Nihl Sub Sole Novum, I selected compositions that are executed with a disciplined standard of calculation. Reality itself is beautiful enough, & many times boosting saturation unethically degrades the quality of original scene. To be specific, I am talking about those who deliberately over saturate in attempt to enhance a scene that already failed to be appealing. Either it's successful, & if not scrap it! Please discontinue trying to entice viewers with artificially adjusted imagery! It doesn't do your composition any justice! If I wanted to see computer-generated color, I'll just paint in Photoshop over a blank canvas!

In contrary to the hopeless incompetents, here I display artist who possess a more superior concept of manifesting technical proficiency! These compositions clearly indicate a level of understanding of limitation when adjusting. They, very simply, are executed in a protocol that accurately depicts facets of reality! Please enjoy & congratulate the following artistry!

Thank you very much for featuring some of my photos. I totally agree with your thoughts on the manipulation. I quite often see photos on dA that my first thought is "It doesn't look real". My view on photograpghy is that it is used to capture and record a moment, not to alter it and make it look "supposedly" better.

Thank you for including me in your collection, and for your article. I believe in the simplicity in life, and getting out there and living and enjoying it. Some people choose to have their art be via the computer and I have seen some awesome work done, but for me, I want to be living in mine. Thank you for having my work displayed with your article, it is an honor.
