Movement (dictionary.com)
8. Fine Arts : the suggestion of motion in a work of art, either by represented gesture in figurative painting or sculpture or by the relationship of structural elements in a design or composition.I decided to put out my interpretation of the word.
The word is a big influence in my thought experiments; in taking pictures, how it ruled my sixth sense, eg : unconsciously stopped to look at something
artistic,
also in how i see the world.
Specifically,
Movement that i am aiming for to feature here is within a frame of work produced by
Photography, Digital Art and Traditional Art.A type of work that produced a sense of
Movement is a Success because Translation happened. It is important, for the viewer to feel 'moved' since
Art is about engaging. A medium to communicate thoughts, emotion or motions. All this is simply put as
Movement.
From
May 4 - 15,2008, i compiled a group of works that can help emphasize my point.
Elements/Methods of Movement - Object, Light, Shapes, Colors, Curves, Duplication, Emotional Depiction, Physical Action, Abstract, Complementation or Contradiction, and Blur Effect.Photography

I also made a Forum Thumbshare to see what people come up with to show their understanding of the word.

However, we do see things differently.
Maybe some people moved by a Square and some by a Circle.
But i think we can't really run away from the reality.
Like how we see a wall fan as something that moves.
Even though we can't deny that some may see
more, wall fan is a monster with a spinning head?
Again, my intention is to share the
Movement guideline i based myself with; in appreciating art, in making one, or in my attempt to do so.
I believe that the
Art of Seeing is something we can't really teach, but i also believe it is a story that can be told.
Art is not without a movement, it needs to be alive! - Nysh Musa Thank you so much for reading!
