*kuschelirmel-stock's Technology & Nature Contest

This contest is all about bringing nature and technology into one photomanip or digital mixed media piece.

How you do that is completely up to you. You can show technology overpowering nature and the whole ecological desasters that would follow just as you can show a harmonious side-by-side of technology and nature. You can take it a step further and venture into science fiction, with cybernetic implants (yes, humans are part of nature for all I know ) and robots on green fields or whatever you can think of. You can keep it more abstract or depict a scene.

The only thing I HAVE to see in the end is that both technology AND nature are somehow represented.

The contest ends on June 27th 2008 midnight Berlin time.

Rules

The entry...

• ...has to be created for this contest and submitted to deviantArt after April 27th 2008
• ...has to incorporate both Technology AND Nature in any fashion imaginable, humans are part of nature
• ...can be a Photomanipulation or Digital Mixed Media piece (the point being you have to use the pic, not just reference it - painting over something is ok, too, it just has to be kinda obvious it was my stock underneath)
• ...has to use one piece of stock from *kuschelirmel-stock's gallery, so that it is clearly noticable in the end. This means that slapping a texture over everything and saying "this was the required piece of stock" will not cut it - also, css journals and tutorials are off-limits as they are not stock for manips
• ...has to be sent via note to this account (please, don't note my main account or I'm likely to forget or the note might get lost) by the end of June 27th.
• You can submit multiple entries, but it is recommended you choose just one - your best
• We will be judging on technical aspects like good cutting and blending as well as originality and creativity.

It should go without saying that you cannot use copyrighted material in any way (you need to use pics that are actually stock or if you want to use other people's photos etc. that are not in the resources gallery you need to ask permission!). Also you have to credit your stock sources properly - if you don't know what I mean by "properly", please read the following news article.
