An article that shows you how to use the resources of dA to create your own journal templates. And there are plenty of awesome tutorials, stock images, guidelines, application resources and much more!
"In this post youll find some basic tutorials on getting started with certain aspects of Illustrator and some of its specific tools. Youll also find more advanced tutorials that deal with all of the potential that Illustrator brings to graphic design." - smashingmagazine.com
A great article at Smashing Magazine that every designer should check. If you're into Coroporate Design, I'm sure you will find this info really useful.
Its hard to define design. We have a broad range of definitions to choose from: design refers not only to graphic design, but to design strategy, too. It is used in a variety of industries, such as engineering, architecture and Web design.
This means that design is not just graphical in nature (which is a form of visual artistic representation), but also the planning of processes to achieve certain goals. Large corporations clearly understand this and incorporate every form of design into their strategy to achieve success. For a good corporate design, we need to be aware of two main elements, which can be further broken down into a total of seven ingredients.

"The Little Things That Matter" says it all, don't you think? No? What I CAN tell you is, if you come here, you can see all the stories and meanings I see behind people's artworks! I'm not saying my opinion is or isn't one or the best, but if you're like me, you'd say, "Hell, who cares how professional it is or isn't, every opinion matters!"
Featuring a few of the best stock photographs submitted this week in Plants.

Olivos by ~SuperStar-Stock is a well composed shot with great depth and balance. It has a sense of calmness and a bit a mystery to me. It's perfect on it's own, but is also something that I'd love to use in a digital piece. Resolution: 3888 x 2592
May Flower 2 Stock by =Moonchilde-Stock The use of negative space and the DOF in this shot really makes a nice composition. This is another stock photograph that could be framed and hung as is, in my opinion. Resolution: 3504 x 2336
funky fruit 3 by ~snikkio-stock The very unique fruit in this photograph would work quite well in photomanips. It has an other world quality about it and could be used in a variety of ways. Resolution 3264 x 2448
Bonsai 027 by ~aurochstock is another really cool stock photograph that caught my eye. The interesting and unique qualities would work well in photomanips or as reference. Resolution: 1600 x 1200
weeping Flower by ~archaeopteryx-stocks also captured my attention. I'm quite fond of well placed black negative space, as well as, good use of DOF. Resolution: 6144 x 4096

Crazy awesome! Thank you very much for the feature! I never would've expected it. Now I only wish I had taken higher-res shot back when I had that cam. I feel so very honored...

`arcipello's artwork is instantly recognisable. His vibrant colours and sci-fi scenes are breathtaking at times, pulling you into a world where man and machine live in colourful harmony.
An inspiration to many, Daniel's dedication to his craft is evident throughout his gallery, with many of his beautiful prints hanging on walls across the globe.
