This Friday, May 30th. The Strangers is released into theatres. Its competition is Sex And The City Movie & last weeks number 1 Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull. For those who don't know The Strangers is a horror movie about a couple returning from a wedding reception staying in an isolated vacation house receive a knock on the door in the mid-hours of the night. What ensues is a violent invasion by three strangers, their faces hidden behind masks. The couple find themselves in a violent struggle, in which they go beyond what either of them thought capable in order to survive. In my school I am known as Dr. Horror because I LOVE Horror movies. So lately people have asked me if I think The Strangers will fail in the box office due to Sex And The City. I have thought about this and there is only one answer...HELL NO! The Strangers will either be number one this week or number two. The reason why is because not a lot of people know what Sex And The City is. It was an older tv series that stopped a long time ago. This give The Strangers an edge, also because The Strangers is unique. However, I am not sure if it will get enough money to beat out Indiana Jones. Maybe because some of said that Indiana Jones is good and some say its bad. So word of mouth could make The Strangers number 1 or 2 this week at the box office. I encourage you to see The Strangers. It is being called the next big thing, next big Horror movie, and the scariest movie in the last decade, even since The Exorcist.
