For the Month of May, we put up a poll for best, less well known (to dA) General Digital Artist and Best Fantasy Digital Artist.

The winner of the Best Fantasy Digital Artist Poll was ~maronski

As it has not been possible to get an interview with Tomasz Maronski, who is Polish, we are featuring some of his works below. However, it must be said that his works of art are extremely imginative as though from a deep spiritual inner consciousness that reaches out to the viewer at a similar level. The style is ethereal yet vivid in its impressions, and the tones are hand-picked to bring out the fullness of atmosphere and subliminal message each picture seems to somehow convey.

Illustrator of book covers and tarot cards, he says at This Link that his paintings are fantasies inspired by the things of the world that surround him every day. His process consists of focusing on the landscape's subject, making pre-sketches until he is finally able to specify the aim of the painting. He likes to choose a particular colour palette that will best describe the overall scene, then use a dominating colour to bring focus on the main subject.
