It already is summer in some parts of the world... but not quite here... in Scotland. Our sunny days (so far...) have been punctuated with light rain fall soft and delicate to what can only be likened to barrage fire!

In Scotland, we treasure our hours of sunshine on our homeland... but it's infinitely easier to hop on a plane and jet off somewhere where there is guaranteed sunshine to greet you in the morning when you open the blinds... and not a 50/50 chance of sullen grey skies and rain. That's why, in Scotland, we cannot really plan to have a bar-b-q... or picnic...

So with that in mind, I'd like to share with you some images that epitomise summer... in my mind.

Clear blue skies, balmy nights, warm sand or cool grass beneath your bare feet... walks along the beach, or in the park... T in the Park, Glastonbury.... ice cold beer, beautiful people, smiling faces...











Yes, these images are idyllic and as sweet and warm as the Scirocco...
But aye, as any fellow Scots out there will confirm, it can be a cruel summer in Scotland...
