DA has Changed

and not for the better . . .

_{I have been on DA for} TWO AND A HALF YEARS _{and have noticed a lot of changes happening to DA!}

Firstly...

_{The Introduction of} COLLECTIONS _{means that people no longer have to view the work to it or add to their collections.}

Secondly...

_The NUMBER _{of Deviants people watch on DA has} DRASTICALLY increased.

Thirdly...

_The AMOUNT _{of artwork being submitted is also} INCREASING


_{Because of these} THREE _{reasons, DeviantART is...}

NO LONGER ABOUT ART

_{People are going around and} FAVING _and COLLECTING _{artwork without appreciating what the person has spent time} creating _or capturing.

This has been brought about by the new system DA has put in. This means that people no longer appreciate the work put up on here, and only take a quick glance at it before moving on to another piece of work.

Please Note that this is not DeviantART's fault but the Deviants fault

People have spent hours on some things creating artwork to post on here, and very few people actually take proper notice of how much effort has gone into making that piece, they don't even read the artists comments which go with the pictures. Also, because it's so easy to collect work, and go, people don't spend the time to write comments.
I have over twice the number of watchers i had 2 years ago, but i get less comments overall on my work!

Also, I have noticed the use of Control + C and Control + V is being used a lot. People no longer bother writing comments based on the work that is being or has been faved, they just write out a set comment and paste it into every box. I came across this with a new club i'd started up, where i Faved some work, and got a comment on the main DA page saying "Thanks a lot for the Btw... you have a great gallery!" yet, we had all of 1 deviation in the gallery, and when i checked his activity, at least 12 other deviants he'd posted to around the same time, had exactly the same message!

I feel people no longer use DeviantART for appreciating art, but for trying to get through everything as quickly as possible.

Not everyone does this, but an increasing number do.

The only way I can see of stopping this is to go back to the old ways, don't watch as many deviants, and appreciate the work they put in to their artwork more.
