Welcome to the 2nd Annual Rtalon235 Open Invitational Contest!!!!!


Your challenge is my newest original character Anna. She is a Necromancer.. a practitioner of the Dark Arts, though she herself is not evil. I have listed her physical measurements below, as well as a description of her everyday appearance. It is noteworthy that Anna is based on an actual DA artist here, who has generously gone out of her way to provide me with information, personality traits, and of course, reference pictures!!! So without further ado, allow me to present to everyone the woman behind the character…

THE RULES


1. Your entry must be received by midnight on July 25th. The winners will be annonced on the following Friday, August 1st.

2. Any and every medium is accepted, including stories.

3. My character Anna must be included.

4. Collaborations are allowed

5. THERE ARE NO LIMITATIONS.

Anna is yours to toy with. Take the references available and create your own vision of her however you like. When I say no limitations, I mean it. Really, last year I allowed Ellie to be everything from a maid to a slave to even being chopped up. The same goes with Anna. It’s YOUR vision of her that matters, not mine.



THE JUDGING

Quite easy and painless really. There are 3 judges in total. Myself, ~drathe , and an artist that is NOT a member of DA. No favorites when it comes to my contests, and that includes any judging by popular vote. The only way I would even consider that is in the event of a deadlock.




THE BOOTY


1. First place is a 2 year subscription to DA or 60 dollars cash AND a =SpeedyHimura commission.

2. Second place is a 1 year sub to DA or 30 dollars cash

3. Third place is a 6 month sub to DA or 15 dollars cash

4. 2 Honorable Mentions, and each will receive a =SpeedyHimura commission as a consolation prize

5. A random drawing for a brand new MarioKart game for the Wii! (details on that below)

Game Info

That's right, I'm giving away the game for free, and you don't have to enter the contest to earn chances for it! Does it get any better? Here's how to earn chances!

1. Contest participation! You earn 1 chance for your first entry, and 2 chances for each additional entry!

2. Spreading the word! Mention the contest in your journal to earn 1 chance. Mention the artist my character is based on as well will earn you two chances! Just note me with the link if you're not on my watchlist!

3. Refer someone! For every artist that clearly states in their description that you referred them to my contest, you earn 1 chance.

4. Gift art! Yes, I am still a shameless gift art whore, and since this is a random drawing and not an official part of the contest, gift art for me OR the artist my character is based on can earn you bonus chances! The number of chances will be decided on a case by case basis since obviously there's more effort in a fully colored piece than a 5 minute sketch, but they will range from 2-10 chances per piece

5. Bribery! Yes, I said bribery, but not the kind you are thinking of.

You see, without my lovely and talented daughter , I would not be here. I wouldn’t have made so many wonderful friends, gotten so many great gifts, nor commissioned so many incredible artists. It's high time that she is given the credit that she deserves. Her efforts speak for themselves, but all of you can help spread the word.

For every journal feature, completed request, art trade, gift art, etc. that involves her, that I am told about by you or her, I will be awarding bonus chances for the Mariokart game. And yeah, I admit that I have a soft spot for my daughter. When she is happy, I am happy.




Whew! Still with me? Fantastic!! Here is some additional information on Anna that was not included in the 5 sneak peeks that I wrote and posted in my deviations. The sizes are U.S. based, but are posted in European measurements as well

Height: 5' 9" / 176 cm

Measurements: 34-30-34 / 87-77-87 cm

Bust: 34DD / 75E

Feet: 7 1/2 / 38 cm

Features: Brown hair, blue-grey eyes, glasses. Overall medium build.

Attitude: Determined to see her fight through to the end no matter what the cost. Has a soft side, but keeps it carefully hidden except when she is alone. She doesn't want anyone to realize that she still has feelings since they might one day use that information against her. She does take the occasional lover, both male and female, but limits such interactions to a single night together.

Outerwear: All black, gray, or brown although a tinge of silver here and there is possible. She prefers knee high leather boots for their durability. The idea is that she has to operate in the dark, so too much reflection is not a good thing. She usually wears a dark hooded cloak of some sort that is easily removed for combat.

For her arms, she wears darkened battle gauntlets on them, with silver spring loaded spikes that extend past her palms and lock out when she flicks her wrist back.

She wears a tight fitting vest or something similar for coverage only. She has no need for armor since it would hamper her necromancer abilities. Around her waist, a dark belt with several small pouches for spell ingredients, a sheath for her silver sword, and several small silver throwing daggers that fit behind her back.

For bottoms, she can wear some kind of skirt or dark pants of some sort, with daggers or stakes strapped on each thigh, and throwing knives strapped at the top of her boots. The tips of her boots have spring loaded silver spikes in them as well that can be actuated with her toe and lock into place.. when she kicks someone, it's going to hurt a lot.

Of course, Anna prefers to sleep in the nude, but of course that can be modified for the situation.
