Today, May 30th, I went to my local movie theatre and saw The Strangers. I sat down to this movie and cleared my head so I can fully look at this movie for what it is. Let me tell you this movie is amazing. Now I don't like reading long reviews that go on and on, so I'll try to make this short. In the beginning the movie reminds you that this is inspired by true events. Then you watch the rest of the movie. Throughtout this movie I did think to myself...if this movie has a twist it could be done in so many ways. In other words it could turn out bad. This is not true however, so you do not have to worry about a lame twist, because there isn't one. The movie is well done everybody screamed when they should have, and the suspense is like a tightrope. The suspense is always there. There are Horror movies out there that get to the part, you know what I'm talking about, when the main person is left by their own and then there's 45 minutes to 1 hour of running around and avoiding the killer. That is not present. Sure there is running but not a lot where you get bored. Now we all know the part where the cell phone can't get reception but the director handled a different and affective approach to that instead. I hope this movie ends up number 1 or at least number 2, behind Indiana Jones, Sex And The City don't have anything on The Strangers. I give the next Horror hit The Strangers a 5 out of 5!
