Community Choice?
This is a bi-weekly article put out by yours truly using
your features! The concept is a great one,
you select 3-5 deviations that you think are fantastic (not daily deviations, you can select an artist that has had one, but not the daily deviation), do a write up about why it is amazing (about a paragraph) and send me a note with your selections! Its that easy and a great way to show off some pieces that you are absolutely in love with! Of course, Manga and Anime only for me

Want to know more or Manga and Anime is not your thing? No worries! Just go to the journal hub for all things
Communtiy Choice! Now for the part you have all be waiting for... the features!

Naturally, being done with good ol' traditional is more natural, especially if you are a natural at it such as *
tylarking is! How..... natural it all is.

And it was for fun, no less! Cannot have better motives than that.
The setup of the world on the paper is splendidy splendid. The shades settled on for this are easy on the eyes, and are placed throughout Paperland naturally (the yellow in the sky does not even seem too bright or forced). The character is also enjoyable, here, for the possessed contraption is nifty, and the getup is not what you see everyday (but is still natural :V).

"Sakura Saku" by =tomokii
Even though tiny thumbnail is tiny, you can still grasp the fact that there is many a detail located in this deviation! But do not let that statement of praise start to make you feel completed without actually full-viewing for a full blast of the skill (yes, I am talking to you, you who only skims over and reads, but does not bother to click any links in the article).
Her attire is --without a doubt-- one of the first major parts of this immediately noticed. For it blends with the entire digital drawing to create a very vivid visual, and has many delightful details of its own. The damsel (not in distress, not this time

) is quite beautiful herself! Her eyes are done in a way not seen by myself previously! Such energy in the lightest part of them, and such endlessness in the eye itself!

"Trascend" by ~Jeneko
Magnificently magical in mood! Forest scenes always did give off that magical mood most skillfully when compared to the majority of selections for scenery in such happenings as is going all on in this deviation! The lighting truly helps, there, with all its glow and whatnot! But so does the expressions, as well! With their fittingness and Life c-c-c-combined!
Dazzling! Ain't it? Having its attached mood previously mentioned, and its bright perspective! The perspective! Yeeeeessss. It and all its action giving plus support giving to the colors! The wellidy well shades would have not faired as well if it had not been for perspective's heroism. What a champion!

"neko en boite" by *gueuzav
I simply love the many colours, and the originality of the clothing. Who wouldn't want striped stockings like those?
It's so bright and cheery and relaxed, and I love it!

Such a beautiful idea, this piece of work. The soft delicacy of the rose, and the little glowing lass lying snugly inside are perfectly done. It brings Thumbelina to mind, with the same sweet, gentle atmosphere.

"Cloud Canter" by *fog-mire
Rainbows!!! And there are two of them!!!
I love the expression of the guy in the background, just slipping over the edge of the rainbow, trying to claw themselves back up. This piece really makes me smile, seeing how the girl in front seems totally oblivious to the distress behind her! Beautifully coloured as well as being funny!

I love the colours used, the reds and blacks, make for a very striking yet intricate piece of work. The chaos really appeals to me, bullets flying everywhere, hair whirling up around her head, adorable little dress flying up. Everything in this is so perfectly done! The shading, pose, clothing, hair...Everything.

"Character Profile: Tyru" by =neodaft
An excellent piece of work contributed to the anime community, and yet so under-rated. This was one of his first time using Prismacolor markers and it came out stunningly well. The character has that heroic looks that will instantly attract fangirls, excellent use of color and terrific shading. A job well done, I must say!

"Feliz Cinco de Mayo-2008" by *DarkLink107
Another artist who has come a long way in the time I've watched her. Original characters are under-appreciated but fantastic in so many ways! Terrific shading, also the use of highlights to show the muscles and curves in the flesh is a wonderful touch, and the eyes are so full of life! Who wouldn't like a beautifully tanned Demon from Mexico?

".HighLighter." by =DejiChu
Inspiration hits some people in the strangest places at the times where we shouldn't have it. However, Deji was right in letting inspiration take the best of her and sketch this blue beauty in her school binder. The use of only pencil and highlighter is striking, making the picture's worth even more with such minimal assets. .Hightlighter. is a deviation that is both simple and fantastic.

"dA Fighter - ICY vs AZ " by *Icywings
Anime with depth is the best way to describe *
Icywings' artwork. It has the distinct anime features with a coloring job that makes her picture seem to pop right out of the screen. The background may be simple, but it works for that 1st person fighter feeling that you get from a video game.

"Azryl - Heirloom" by *virus-AC74
What I like about this is how the style is different. There is something about a drawing full of angst that I love, and this deviation captures the angst and tension perfectly. Also, I have always been a fan of the drawing style, where everything looks sketchy. It's always been one of my favorite to both use and look at. Overall for me, this deviation is simply one of the best.

"After the Rain" by ~kuridoki
I love the expression that was captured in this deviation. It's like those days when you thought that it would never stop raining, and then a few minutes later all of a sudden the sky is clear. It's kind of shocking, but at the same time a great relief. The watery style that the copic markers were used in also impress me. It gives the background a lot more feeling and it ties this wonderful deviation all together.

"- chain -" by ~aramaki
Having multiple characters in a deviation usually makes drawings feel cluttered, in my opinion. However, the feeling of artistic clutter isn't present in this deviation. What I like about it is how the copics were used. These markers are amazing and there is so much that you can do with them. I believe that Copics in the hand of ~
aramaki is a great thing, because she creates amazing pieces with them.

"Innocence" by *meago
I love this deviation. Digital art isn't my favorite media, however this piece simply takes the cake. Whenever I look at this deviation I feel a sense of calmness and warmth. It is simply amazing, and I feel as if using digital media brought out the best for this deviation.

"Angel of fire rebirth" by ~garun
~
garun has some of the most amazing work here on deviantART, however ~
garun doesn't really get mentioned a lot. This particular deviation struck me when it first came out. The detail in it is simply outstanding. And even though there is a large background, and similar colors are used throughout the entire deviation, the character in the image still stands out. This deviation is one of the best that you can find on deviantART, and I would highly recommend that every single deviant checks out ~
garun's page to see each amazing deviation.

"Late B-day gift, Jyinxe" by ~Honeykitten
A very dynamic pose makes this pic catch the eye of anyone looking through her gallery. The expression is very animated and the background really makes the character stand out.

Another very active pose that is contrasted in a nice way by the softness of the colouring. The detail in the hair and face really adds life to this piece.

One of my favourite Halloween themed pics on dA, I just love the playful pose and expression of the girl in this pic. Her hair is also coloured very nicely, and the simple background makes me think of a card.
As you can see, everyone had a different approach to this but the outcome was the same: Deviants were featured by deviants! This is such a fun project and I hope to see your submissions for then next article!
