Being aware is not knowing.
Some of you I'm sure know about Autism awareness or have heard of a disorder called Autism. You may know people, or have a loved one with this disorder. Then again you may not have heard of this at all.
Autism Awareness has turned into more of what you think about Cancer awareness. It's mostly "Oh let's feel sorry for the people, it must be so hard to live with this, I'm so sorry" and what this is doing is singleing people with Autism out. You may like to be pointed out or to have everyone looking at you. You may be popular, love being around people, going places, but for people with Autism their biggest fear is to be singled out. It's very terrifying for them. That's what Autism Awareness is doing. So I have created Autism Education so you can be aware and know that facts with out singleing people out.
Autism is a brain development disorder. It interferes with communication and social interaction. These are the people that are left out, bullied in school, have no friends. The odd ones out. This could be a person that you made fun of in school for being different, the person rumors are spread about.
There is no cure for Autism. Hardly any one with autism lives independently, though some been very successful.
This affects people for the rest of their lives. Most of these people have to be home schooled and have no were else to go.
Here's a list of behaviors of Autism from :
[link]Social interactions and relationships. Symptoms may include:
Significant problems developing nonverbal communication skills, such as eye-to-eye gazing, facial expressions, and body posture.
Failure to establish friendships with children the same age.
Lack of interest in sharing enjoyment, interests, or achievements with other people.
Lack of empathy. People with autism may have difficulty understanding another person's feelings, such as pain or sorrow.
Verbal and nonverbal communication. Symptoms may include:
Delay in, or lack of, learning to talk. As many as 50% of people with autism never speak.
Problems taking steps to start a conversation. Also, people with autism have difficulties continuing a conversation once it has begun.
Stereotyped and repetitive use of language. People with autism often repeat over and over a phrase they have heard previously.
Difficulty understanding their listener's perspective. For example, a person with autism may not understand that someone is using humor. They may interpret the communication word for word and fail to catch the implied meaning.
Limited interests in activities or play. Symptoms may include:
An unusual focus on pieces. Younger children with autism often focus on parts of toys, such as the wheels on a car, rather than playing with the entire toy.
Preoccupation with certain topics. For example, older children and adults may be fascinated by train schedules, weather patterns, or license plates.
A need for sameness and routines. For example, a child with autism may always need to eat bread before salad and insist on driving the same route every day to school.
Stereotyped behaviors. These may include body rocking and hand flapping.
High-functioning Autism is a milder form of Autism, such as Asperger's syndrome. The symptoms still apply but may or may not be as bad.
These are the people that can go to school and out in public, but are the one's that are bullied, the odd ones out like I mentioned before.
It's best for these people to go to a small school with more one on one learning.
Don't act, learn the facts about Autism. 1 in 150 children are born with this disorder. So think about this next time you want to pick on some one at school, work or just any where. Learn the signs about Autism. Many students with Autism get in trouble at school when they really didn't mean to do anything.
It's time to stop 'acting' and learn!

I often have panic attack when leaving the house or being in places with many people about. But with effort and some help I've gained the will and courage to try get a job and the likes. ^^
This is great people should learn more about it to understand how it works and what to do to make it easier on people with autism. ^^
I'm going all out extreme right now trying to force myself to me social. It's really hard but it sort of works in a way if you socialize with the right people. (in my case furrys ^^ )
