"If you have uploaded Artist Materials pursuant to the Submissions Agreement, you have also authorized deviantART to use your name and biographical materials publicly for advertising and promotional purposes."

I'm not too keen on that. If I am to become famous for something, why is it you are able to suddenly use my name and identity to publish something and profit from it? What is the purpose and intent of this clause? What are examples of this usage?

When you see parts of our site with a prominent brand of another company, information you supply (or authorize for use) in that part of the site will be shared with the other company that is cooperating in providing the service. Please visit that company’s site to learn more about their information practices.

Can you clarify this, possibly? To me, it seems that any page that has another company's prominent logo may obtain access to all cookies, user identity, anonymous information, and other user-submitted information whenever we visit this page.

What examples can you produce of pages that have "Prominent Company Logos" because, to me, news articles such as the "Skin a Scion" contest announcement have another company's logo about as prominent as it can get. I doubt you supply Scion with user information from just a news article, but this clause seems to purport that you may. Please clarify.

I'm reading through the Lotame Privacy Policy in a moment.

I understand that some of the issues I present are not recently changed and quite old, but I figure this may as well be a time to look into it... better late than never.

For anyone curious, the following is from Lotame and pretty much wraps up any doubt as to the security of information... at least for me:

Lotame is a Software Licensor and an Application Service Provider. Our software and technology accepts and integrates the Non-personal information made available to us by our clients, collected pursuant to our clients' privacy policy. We assume that our clients comply with their own privacy policy, and Lotame does not own or make use of our clients' data other than to provide information back to the client. Lotame does not share data with anyone other than the client, which owns the data. We may, at times, provide aggregated, anonymous data for measuring purposes and to report industry-wide metrics.
