reports, June 5, 2008One of the most interesting things about artists is their working methods, or how they go from that spark of an idea to the final artwork. If you talk to 20 different artists you will probably get 19 different methods to work and the last guy is just copying off one of the other artists 
The creative process for many of us is a twisting road that often winds up taking us in a completely different direction then we anticipated. But it all starts with an idea, the spark of inspiration.
Concept art can be done in any media and in both digital and traditional methods. Im reminded of a sign we have over our production center in the school I teach at which says...
Practice safe design.... use a concept.
Below is a peek into the working methods of some great artists. Enjoy!
