Recently, I have noticed various pictures that can also be found at deviantArt (albeit larger) on the back cover or inner sleeve of various Slovenian magazines.
I enquired with one of the providers (www.gettymobile.si) via email if they have the copyright for the sale of these pictures, however my question remained unanswered.
The only thing left for me to do was to check matters by myself (at least in the case of the use of one of the pictures). Among the many pictures from deviantAart, I noticed the well known concept of Audi – the Audi LOCUS Concept Design (creator: ugursahin1234). When I showed the creator a scanned copy of the magazine which contained among all the other pictures also a picture of this Audi, he was shocked as the company in question had not obtained his consent to selling the pictures.
I assume that the companies in question do not have consent of the creators of the other pictures and thus illegally exploit your creations for profit.
Since I value your work and respect your copyrights, I feel obliged to inform you when violations of such rights occur.
