As the shadowbunny said, I don't think so. Besides, if it gets polluted enough, people will actually listen and cut down on the pollution, and stop cutting down trees. The trees will eventually respire the earth free of pollutants, if the wold ever does end in 2012, I know what it will be caused by; Massive Nuclear Bomb set off if this whole iraq war gets way to bad (which I think is bad, ending the world because the iranians and american's can't get on). But no, I don't think the world will end by then. Maybe in the distant, distant future, where wepons will be way more deadly than today's. So if the world ends, it's caused by war.

You actually believe this sh*t?
Seriously, 30 years ago people thought there was global COOLING and we would all turn to iceballs by now.
I can not understand how people actually believe that. Its worse then those chain letters (If you dont send this to 11 people you will die in 2 minutes lololololol).

The world will die in a few billion years, don't worry. Live life as good as you can.

And, by the way... HOW, exactly, will the world end if 2012, exactly?

I try not to follow in the panic of the masses.
People panicked about Y2K, and what happened? That's right, nothing... and that is just one example.
Somebody has been watching too many doomsday movies...

 i think you talk about a solar storm, that has been calculated long ago by science, not by some old papers...
a solar storm is full of magnetic particles, and they gets thrown into space by the sun some times, it's also what makes the aurora borealis or northern lights as it's also called...

anyhow, the world will not end, it'll just short-circuit every power transformer that's in the power grid if they are being used...

there are only made a few of those around the world, so it'll take many years before the power is restored world wide...

but yet again, this'll only happen if the solar storm breaks records...

Don't sweat it, pal. Nostradamus (SP?) or somebody predicted that 1999 would be the end of the world. It's 2008 and we're still going, baby.
