Please let me advise that faving this news article will increase the chances of it being seen, and therefore increase the chances of the deviations within it being seen. I (~mrjans) contributed all of these deviations, so I hope you enjoy. ;)

Stop The Abuse!

=whitewolflover94:iconwhitewolflover94: reports, June 12, 2008
IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH STOPPING ANIMAL ABUSE, DO NOT READ OR COMMENT.

We have all heard of animal abuse.
I know MOST of you have, anyway.

We've all seen reports and articles and such on animal abuse at least ONCE in our lives.

I know alot of people have already seen this or heard of it, but you MUST pay attention.

There is a video, one of a U.S. soldier throwing a puppy off a cliff.
An innocent, harmless little puppy.

[link]

What did that puppy ever do to him or anyone else?
Why must that puppy endure the wrath of a human for his own and his buddies' enjoyment?

Another one, yet another soldier.
He saw a dog, and shot it. Not a quick shot to the head, which I myself had to do to my dog after he was mangled up in a tire of a large truck, but a series of shots, all over.
It wasn't a quick death, it was one slowly drawn out, making the animal suffer.

[link]

And then there are the so-called "Crush Videos" and "Pictures".
This is EXTREMELY horrific and gruesome, and I, and many others, just can't believe that this is happening, yet it is.

If you are to look at these, I have a few warnings.
These photos are very graphic and may upset younger readers.
I STRONGLY advise that unless you have a strong stomach and are not as sensitive to things, that you do not look at them.

[link]

If you do not want to risk looking at the pictures, but still want to know what lay in them...

They are pictures of women "glamorously-dressed" crushing a kitten to death in stiletto heels.
In case you do not know what a stiletto is, it is a very sharp, pointy heel on a shoe. I know no other way to explain it.

Types Of Abuse

A friend, :icondafac:, has already talked about this issue, but I shall again use it to make my point.

There are many types of abuse, but the most recognizable (to most) is domestic animal abuse.
This is when pets are whipped, kicked, yelled at and thrown into a small, cramped cage in the yard, with no shade, no food or water, and sometimes they go as far as tying up the animal so it has even less range of movement.
Small animals are locked in a tiny cage with very limited movement, with little food and water, if they are fed at all.
Cats are shoved into sacks, and drowned because they were not wanted.
Numerous animals are kept in one house while the so-called "owners" went on vacation for weeks, leaving hardly enough food and water, if any is left for the animals at all.

An example of this would be a happening right here in my town.
"A house was found full of over 100+ animals dead, another 200+ in bad condition, and a few that were lucky enough to escape, which they had found on the property. The ones in bad condition were as follows: 23 dogs looked like they had been pit against one another, and, indeed, were; numerous cats were found shoved in drawers, closets, and small cabinents; most of the animals were starving, underwatered, and fur was matted and falling out; many animals covered in blood with deep wounds, from where they were competeing for food."
Does that sound like something an intelligent person would do?
If you answered "yes", there is something wrong with you.
If you answered "no", you are correct.
An intelligent person would never breed dogs, cats, or other animals to where the offspring wound up mating with eachother, producing horribly disfigured animals and grotesque physically disabilities.
Then there are the people who say things such as, "It's a pitbull so that means it is mean and therefore we kill it."
It's not the dog.
It's the "owner". The way a person "raises it".

Another type of abuse: Science.

All the scientists say that "it's good for us," and "it helps humanity as a whole,".
But, what about when it doesn't? Then hundreds, maybe thousands of innocent lives were thrown down the drain, so to speak.
I know some of you out there are thinking "Well, we wouldn't have shots to prevent diseases for us if we didn't experiment."
But think back to when humanity was just starting out.
We had no shots. No vaccines.
And they survived.
And even in the 1800's, when there were no preventative things we could do to keep illness away.
They survived.
Think.

And then there's entertainment. The sickening "pleasure" that a "human" gets from watching an animal suffer.
There was a story a little while ago about a man who had tied up a dog, and put it on "exhibit", all the while not feeding or watering it and encouraging lookers "Not to feed the dog,".
Right about now some of you may be thinking of alot of the horrible ways that this is done.
People drown, skin, bash, maim, stab, kick, and scream and yell at animals to watch them suffer.
People skin raccoons, you all know.
But the animals are still ALIVE while they skin them.
They aren't already dead. They have to go through the hell many put them to, and when they are skinned, they're thrown around and left to die, painfully and slowly.
Those types of people think they can play God. To decide who lives and dies, prospers and falls.
But you can't play God.
No being is more important than another. It's that simple.
I even think humans are less important than all the others, because of what animal abusers do.

Then, the food.
Many animals ARE harmed before they are slaughtered, and almost all of them tortured and put through hell so we can have bacon for breakfast, hamburgers for lunch, and fried chicken for dinner.
Many don't think about this when they sit down to a hot meal, but yet some do.
Those people are the vegitarians, and the vegans, and no I am not a vegan or vegetarian myself, but I know where my food comes from.
Though alot of people don't.
Sit down and look at your fried chicken the next time you eat, and think: Those chickens are kept in cramped cages, maybe only a square foot, with many other chickens, their skin rubbing against rusty metal, producing sores and blisters, leading to the feathers falling out, and many chickens may get into fights, causing yet more damage.
Cows and horses are put under extreme pressure, to carry and haul.
They are hung up on a line, their throats slit, letting the blood slowly drip from their bodies. This is something no human can relate to.
You've never had a slit in your neck, while people wait to watch you die, then are sent off down the line, banging and htting agains metal objects, hoping to die, while the next victim is set in place.
That's something to chew on, and I myself am haunted by those thoughts of those poor animals.

But what can we do?

"But what can we do?", you ask?

Well, locally, you can find out about events in your town or one close to you that talk about how to help stop animal abuse, or sign petitions.
That's if you don't have alot of money to spare.

If you know of animals that may be being abused in your neighborhood, call the police, right away.
Don't even hesitate.

Or you can check out your local RSPCA or a non-kill animal shelter, if you are looking to adopt a pet.

Also, get your pet neutered or spayed.
Spaying and neutering means that some animals will never wind up in abusive homes, on the streets or in a shelter, where they will most likely be killed if they don't find a home.

But if you do...
You can possibly make a website, as many people I know have, and spread the word of animal abuse and how we can help to stop it.

You can also check out these:

DAFAC: [link]
RSPCA: [link]

There are many other sites than these, and I urge you to look at and read what they have to say.

I thank all of you who have taken the time to read this newsletter, those who have taken time out of their schedules.

I could not bring myself to look at the images... mainly because I have seen most of the ones you described... and I cannot stomach looking at them again. These are horrible things.. I wish people would understand just because they are animals does not mean they do not have a soul, cannot think or feel. Animals are just as important in the world as we are. I definitely agree with you... it needs to stop.

I know exactly how you feel, as though I do have a strong stomach, I have thrown up while looking at these kinds of things.

I never realized I wrote so much, and I know there are many grammical mistakes, but I hope it gets the point across.

I'm glad to have supporters like you.

I heard that the puppy in the first video was already dead and that sound effects were added in later, to make it seem like it was alive.

I am sure it definitely will get the point across to everyone else as well. I think it was written better than some news posts I have seen in the past. Either way... I have a very strong stomach as well, but when it comes to things like that I cannot stand it. It pains in my heart more than anything.
