Well a lot of people are being introduced to the Antaros series as of late, and why is it such a big deal? Well think to yourself, what is the ideal game? What features would it have? What kind of graphics? What kind of storyline? Well Antaros Chronicles is probably a game that tackles all the answers you might have had as it's the first production to incorporate an Atmospheric Ballastics factor. Hah, and I'm guessing alot of you are asking yourself what is this? Well let's just say it's reality. The project incorporates atmospheric conditions such as temperature, weather conditions such as snow rain etc, seasons, day time, heat, wind, and incorporates them into a realistic platform.
Such factors as window, may disrupt any long distance attacks, for example take the feature of the wind, shoot an arrow against it, and your range, accuracy and damage is reduced. Shoot with it, it's the opposite, and reap the bonuses. Fire at an angle to the wind for example firing N to S and the wind is traveling W to E, you're accuracy would be greatly reduced. Such factors are incorporated throughout the game in a variety of factors.
Visual Media:

Though it doesn't stop there, weather effects also have an effect, typically as you may have seen it in games rain simply falls and just disappears there's no flooding or any other kind of significance. But in the Antaros Chronicles, we incorporate a theme of realism by causing the weather conditions to affect the terrain landscape, so rivers would typically widen, holes in the terrain may be flooded, and changes the landscape where as lightning for example has the potential to strike terrain in the game causing either craters that could be filled up by rain or fires could start, and then let's bounce back to snow, rivers, etc would freeze over according to the temperature, and when the temperatures rose it would simulate a similar resolve to rain.
Though another feature is the creature realism, if you travel during certain parts of the day certain monsters won't be found roaming around, and they don't just "disappear" like most other fantasy games show, and they don't just roam around idle, each monster has a special AI and may be subjected to attack creatures or it's own kind. Then some creatures may gang up on you or even attack each other over who gets first strike on the prey etc. Various features to enlighten the fantasy of the player.
Those are simply some of the features to the new Antaros Chronicles, which is rare to find but even more over in a game developed by Indie developers. Though it's underway whether believable or not. Currently the first project, is scheduled to beta debut later this winter, a 2D SPS&MMORPG project, with a 3D replica planned later next Fall. Screenshots and all new updates and media along with demo downloads
(Alpha release scheduled late next month) can be found at the new project website here:
[link]Screenshot media planned to be released On June 20th!So...now that you have some background on the project, would you be inspired to play a game such as this? It's pretty big news to hear an Indie developer to produce something of this scale, but it's being done, so either take witness and be first in the crowd to get the 411 on the release, or be among the bandwagon crowd and end up joining late in the game. It's your choice...

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things.
