your features! The concept is a great one,
you select 3-5 deviations that you think are fantastic (not daily deviations, you can select an artist that has had one, but not the daily deviation), do a write up about why it is amazing (about a paragraph) and send me a note with your selections! Its that easy and a great way to show off some pieces that you are absolutely in love with! Of course, Manga and Anime only for me

*wapy's Choices!

Gosh, when I first saw this image I came in love with it

Really. Its so simple, yet so touching
Theres nothing out to point, its just perfect. It gives the viewer a nice feeling of duty, yet, also one of peace and very very original. Its something you dont see every day here in dA and its indeed a relaxing view. And dont get mad just because the image is small and simple, because its really worthy to spend some time looking at it.

"Miss SDL Round 1: Aoki Yatsuka " by *ryuuen
Ok, it was impossible for me not to put this one here too. Just take quite a look at those colors and at that clothing
Not to mention the pose! *
ryuuen sure made a great work on this one

The simple background makes the character stand out even more than it would already do and the sword finalizes this effect with its vibrant tones.

"Fleeting Colors" by ~Mireimi
I cant believe I actually found this in the Manga gallery. There I was, wondering around and then my eyes got stuck in a picture
This one. For some reason, the sketchy lineart and the fading colours went perfectly together. It is full of tenderness and softness
And indeed the characters expression is a must!

It is filled with little patterns and brushes that usually dont go well with regular Manga works, but fitted marvelously together in this one. Its a picture that requires some time to look at, because it looks simple, but it has a lot to see there

"My deepest fear" by *Laudine
I guess anyone can see why I chose this one. Just take a second looking at the characters expression
Feel the mood on the scene
Its perfect. Its amazing. Its powerful. Theres nothing much to say about it, you have to check it by yourself
Only then you can truly understand this choice.

He does lovely work with both paint and markers. Many of his pieces carry some sort of symbolism, which really adds to each piece. I like so many of his drawings, it was hard to choose one to feature!

"Artwork: Nathan" by *ELK64
The use of color and detailed clothing of Elk's characters always draws me in for a closer look.. In some, Elk is known to give the characters comical faces, which really brings them to life! The backgrounds are just as eye-catching.

"Fairy Collection" by *LadyWinter
Her fairies are always interesting to see. They're always full of personality. She's another artist I love because she uses colors nicely together. Her poses are quite nice, too!

"the witch" by ~Ashai-C
The drawing style is definitely the most outstanding part of this.
The color selection creates a very unique atmosphere. Everything seems to be natural and completely rounded. And the shoes are awesome!

"Dreaming in a Sky of Water" by ~KuroiCho
This is just plain awesome.
The overuse of the color blue creates a stunning and unique atmosphere. The details are magnificent and don't forget the absolutely splendid clouds in the background.
This piece really caught my attention and is one of my top favorites.

"Trascend" by ~Jeneko
There's a lot of green in this.
And I love Green.

But that's not the only reason why I love this piece. The outlines were done in a very nice style and the lighting is simply extraordinary. Not much to tell about this, it's just plain splendid.

Aren't those water reflexions and light refractions simply amazing?
Although the character himself is draw in a more simpler way, he fits in perfectly with the rest of the picture. This too really looks like it's completely rounded.

Holy Hog is just one of ~
skipperofotters05s pieces that Ive fallen in love with. Her selection of bold colors in contrast to the nuns plain habit totally catches your eye. The colors are very smooth, too, fitting well with Skips fine line work. Not only that, but this piece portrays one of the strangest sights youll probably only ever see once in your lifetime: a nun smoking a cig on a red Vespa!

~
skipperofotters05 cant seem to leave her sense of humor out of any of her drawings, but thats what gives them their character.

ouncing Lessons is an excellent example once again of Skips eye for a harmonious color palette and her dry sense of humor.

At first glance I thought this piece was going to be a more calm, serious piece because of the vast amounts of cool blues and greens. However, the cheetah ears and tail, and the frightened butterfly give

ouncing Lessons its comical suspense.

.: Red Pearl Princess :. by ~sakuyaa-chaan
~
sakuyaa-chaan does an excellent job capturing a playful essence in her drawing Red Pearl Princess. Reading the artists comment adds some background to this piece, as to why she drew it and stuff, which actually adds more to the vibrancy of the piece already. The bright colors and Himekas (the mermaid) wide smile caught my eye when I came across :devsakuyaa-chan:s gallery. Red Pearl Princess is one of many colored pieces in ~
sakuyaa-chaans awesome gallery.

Red. When I saw *
haiiro-no-tenshis Gandalf Kitty 03 FIN, the red colors totally caught my eye. That, and Gandalf Kittys mischievous smile. *
haiiro-no-tenshi uses a lot of red here, but her ability to balance the vivid color with cooler, softer colors really shows in this piece. The movement around Gandalf Kitty brings the focus to her, but not without leading your eye to her adorable companion sitting on her head. Gandalf Kitty 03 FIN is one of my favorite pieces in :devhaiiro-tenshi:s gallery, and I look forward to seeing more from her in the future.

I love all the various character designs in this piece; each one shows a different personality, and the designs are very original. The lining compliments the boldness of the colouring and shading. And every part is very detailed from the hair to the clothes to they eyes.

I like this one because at first everything seems very relaxed about this picture, especially since there's such a soft sunset in the background, and also since the character is leaning against the wall. But the thoughtfulness of his expression makes the onlooker wonder what the character is really thinking. Also, I love the lighting in this one.

"The King and Queen of Hell" by ~Russian-Lullaby
An interesting take on an old theme; the devil and his bride. I like her original approach to what a demon should look like, and how his bride looks so innocent. There's a lot of attention to little details, and the whole composition is very visually pleasing.
As you can see, everyone had a different approach to this but the outcome was the same: Deviants were featured by deviants! This is such a fun project and I hope to see your submissions for then next article!
