What else would our first convention appearance be without a contest to kick it off? Even if you can't make it to LA, you can still be part of history! Here's how: Design a poster to represent deviantART at Anime Expo 2008! The winning entry will be hung at our booth and you will also receive a copy signed by all the official deviantART staff and official guests of the deviantART booth, as well as a $250 USD cash prize, a year deviantART subscription, a deviantART sticker pack and free admission to the convention if you are planning on attending! There will be only one winning entry. So what do you need to do? Read on:

• Your entry must include the phrases “deviantART” and “Anime Expo 2008 July 3rd – 6th” and may include versions of the deviantART logos and Fella as long as they are faithful to the original designs. You may not use the official Anime Expo 2008 logos
• The uploaded file must be a minimum of 2400×3600 pixels to make a 24×36 print quality image. You can set the image on display in your gallery as smaller, but be sure to make it available as a print or have a file that can be made into a print should you win.
• Theme is up to you for interpretation. However, it should be representative of the event and the deviantART community in some way.
• Your work can be done digitally or traditionally. Whatever medium your little heart desires!
• All entries will become the property of deviantART in the form that includes the name ‘deviantART” or any of its logos including Fella. You are free to use any artwork in the entry separately in any way you want as long as the work is not selected as the winning entry.

• The winning entry will be printed and presented as a give away item at the Expo, along with information letting people know who created the work and how to find you on deviantART!
• This contest is open to all members of deviantART and is all ages!
• The winning entry will become property of deviantART Inc. deviantART may use the winning entry in advertisements and other promotional settings in the future. The creator, however, will be allowed to sell it as a print on deviantART and starting in August 2010 the creator will have the right to license any non-exclusive use of any of the art work in the entry without the deviantART name or any deviantART logos including Fella.
• You may submit as many entries as you would like!
• There will only be one winner! This is a winner take all event, so put your best effort forward!

In order to qualify, you must have your high resolution file already uploaded to the site and ready to be chosen as a download.

Judging will be done by fulltime salaried deviantART Staff. The criteria will be the entry that displays the best combination of theses factors:

• if the work succeeds as representative of Anime Expo and the deviantART community
• The ability of the work to function in the format of a poster
• The ability of the work to attract positive associations to deviantART

Winning Entry will be announced June 30th along with a full schedule for the event!

The winner will receive a 250 dollar cash prize, a one year deviantART subscription, a sticker pack and if they live within the area and/or are going to be attending the convention they will receive free entry into the convention.
