Inspiration is perhaps one of the biggest parts of creating a unique piece of writing. Maybe that beautiful, very awe-inspiring picture on the main page of deviantART simulated your creativity, or perhaps it came from some obscure corner of the world. In any case, pictures have power and voice, talking to our imagination with sweet tones.
We ProvideInteresting prompts and pictures from various places. We hope that they inspire you to write something wonderful, something that readers will want to read over and over again.
Our IdeaMy co-founder and partner in crime, =
illuminara and I have decided to post monthly news updates. At the beginning of the month, we will post new prompts and pictures. Also, at the end of every month, we will post the pictures or prompts that helped inspire our favorite piece of writing.
Not only that, but we have an answer hotline as well. Simply send us a note asking for help on any writing-related question you may have, and we'll do our best to answer. Along with the featured pieces, we'll post the questions and answers from the hotline for that month.
RulesEven though we are not fans of complicated rules, we do have a few we wish for all you writers to follow. Seven to be exact:

We advise that you read these carefully before you begin writing. We adhere strictly to these simple rules and have the right to reject anything that does not comply. If you have a specific question about our rules, please send us a note titled "Rule Inquiry." We'd much rather have you ask if your submission is acceptable than receive a questionable entry.
So, let's begin! Here are the prompts for this month:1) Incorporate the follow three words seamlessly into a piece of prose: Cut, boots, and red.
2) Reread one of your favorite books (or at least a few of your favorite parts). Think about how it was written and what style and techniques the author used to create his or her story. Now sit down and try to mimic that style for a few pages. You may use his/her characters or creature your own and place them in one of the settings found in the book.
