Bill Sullivan's NYC Subway Turnstile Pictures

reports, 2d 38m agoBill Sullivan developed a situation so that various subjects could be defined by the constraints of exactly the same mechanical apparatus. The scenario consisted of someone passing through a subway turnstile. At the moment that the subjects passed through the turnstile, unknown to them, he took their picture stationed at a distance of eleven feet. Bill stood there turning pages of a magazine observing subjects out of the corner of my eye, waiting for only the moment when they pushed the turnstile bar to release the shutter.
His images are fascinating and are inspiring. They encourage us to try something different and when we do it shows what can be achieved.

reports, June 20, 2008One of the greatest joys of joining a community like deviantART is the opportunity to inspire and be inspired. By posting our work, we open ourselves up to words of encouragement and constructive criticism, which both play a significant role in shaping us to develop as artists. Sadly, many aspiring deviants are underexposed - some don't receive the encouragement they deserve, and others don't hear the advice they need to make quality work even better. As of last week, I have decided to start a series of Saturday features showcasing a variety of photos with less than 100
