In a world of fanart, you're bound to run into fancharacters. Fancharacters are characters that are made for a certain series' cannon. Some people can't find any decent fancharacters, so they just end up hating them in general.



It's a shame for the diamonds in the rough to be ignored like that! Most of these great fancharacters are overshadowed by "recolors" and "Mary Sues". Re-colors are very easy to define, they often look very similar to a pre-existing charcter, exept for some minor changes and a new color scheme. This is a very good example of some characters out there:

Sadly, even though this is a joke character, I've seen so many people take their characters seriously like that. It's repulsive and awful that so many people have bad ideas like this.
