HDR image is image, that has been made from many different way exposured images, for example
-1, 0 and 1 exposures, -1 is underexposed, and you see the dark parts nicely, on 1 you see light parts nicely, when you compile them, you see all of them nicely. Also it helps making images sharper, and increases clarity when done properly. There are different methods to do it, but thats shot description.
