I know myself when first opening a Stock or resource account it can seem a bit harrowing,there you are sitting with your fabulous Stocks and Resources and have no idea how to get your things seen.

In order to get yourself out there and make yourself known there can be a bit of personal pimping involved,but it is a good way to introduce yourself to the community. It might seem a bit scary at first as there are so many established Stock & Resource accounts here already,but don't let that put you off,it doesn’t take long to make new friends and before you know it you will feel less like a n00bie and more of an ol timer. Don’t forget we were all new once.

Here are just a few tips on how you can get yourself seen and integrate with the community .

• Watch the Gallery directors that represent the Resources Gallery, that way you will be kept up to date with the running of the gallery, and get to know them, we are not half bad and promise not to bite

^bleedsopretty ^LawrenceDeDark and myself ^znow-white currently represent the Resources gallery,and ^Hanratty-Stock ,^lyastri and ^LawrenceDeDark take care of stocks, although this side of resources may seem separate too many we consider ourselves to be one big family. So again watch them. so If you are ever in need of help or not sure how things work we are always available to point you in the right direction. If you have plans for Contests, Projects or news articles let us know so we can support you and include them in our updates. We want you to be happy and feel comfortable with your Gallery.



• Like all the genre galleries here at devainART we have our own forums. Resources forum & StockART Forum here you can introduce yourself and your account,ask all manner of questions regarding resources, leave your points of view and link us to your contests and news articles.



• Resources also has its own little chat room called.... #Resources so too does Stock #ARSTOCK here you will find a groups of extra ordinary members who will lull you into a self disposition and persuade you that pink fluff and stuff is the thing, until you submit into their resourceful ways. Whether you are a submitting member to the Resources gallery or just a user of Resources You are all welcome to pop by so we can get to know you a bit better.



• There are many ways you can expose your Stocks & Resources here at deviantART, and what better way to do it than through clubs you can join and contribute too. They will give further exposure and reach the artists that watch them.






• All Stock and Resources related News you will find here Resources everyone is welcome to post an article especially if you have something extra special that you would like to share with the community. It is also another good way to get exposure for your account.



• Rules. These are an important area to your Resources depending on how you would like to have Stocks and resources used.
For many just a credit is enough , but for others they may have specific restrictions. Make sure your rules or guidelines are displayed in a way that they are accessible for the members and clearly outlined. These can include, blanket permission if you allow your resources to be used for Prints, a non re-distribution clause if you do not want your resources distributed off site or here at devainART .If you browse some of the resource accounts you will get a good idea of the general rules or terms many lay out. (more on credit and CEA policy to come this week).

For those that choose to have no restrictions you are welcome to join the *Unrestricted-Stock Club as well as being included in ^LawrenceDeDark's Unrestricted Use Stock Directory.



• Help & FAQ Help and Faq is like the bread and butter to dA,and plays an important part when it come to the navigation of the site,policies and how things tic..The main page is always up to date with the latest New and/or updated faq. The link you will at the bottom of your page for easy and quick access.





• Last but not least we want you to enjoy yourselves, The Stock & Resources Galleries are quite a close nit community,even though we are sometimes odd and fun loving (though many may call us mad) we are artists within our own right yet at the same time selfless in what we offer,and are the bread and butter to many a great Artist.
