Hello, and welcome to the second edition of the EverybodyPlush monthly newsletter!
Here we'll be listing all the things that are happening in July, and the things that have happened over the past month, please read and enjoy!

Club Progress And News
We’ve gone past 150 members and 9,000 page views! Tell your friends and fellow plushers about us!
Last month, we had a contest for fairytale plushies! I’m happy to announce that we had another massive turnout, with 43 entries and 55 votes!
The grand winner was *auragoth with 9 votes, winning a three month sub, a dollie, a traditional coloured picture and a feature in the club’s journal.

The second place winner was ~Lolipopgi with 7 votes, who won a digitally coloured drawing and a journal feature.

During the month of June, we opened our website! Go and visit, there’s loads of great stuff, and it can only get better [link]
Unfortunately, for the time being, we are no longer accepting submissions, due to the excessive amount of work for university I have to do, but don’t worry, I’ll be accepting again soon

July’s Contest
Be yee a pirate fan? Or one with the ninjas?
This is one contest you don’t wanna miss out on.
Rules
You can make a pirate, a ninja or both if you wish.
Does not have to be in human form, but needs to link somehow with the pirate/ninja theme.
E.g. A ship, skull and crossbones, swords, cannon, death stars, nun chucks, sai knives etc. etc. etc.
Must be in plush form.
Must not represent anime/book/TV characters etc., yes this means no Naruto or One Piece!!
Entry will NOT be accepted if you’ve just dressed up something in a pirate/ninja costume.
Unlike the last contest, there will not be as much leeway as before, if it doesn’t fit STRONGLY into the theme of this month’s challenge, it WON’T be accepted.
It can be an existing deviation or something totally new!
MEMBERS ONLY!
Everyone who doesn’t enter will be asked to vote.
The contest will end on the 28th July 2008, 12AM GMT.

We could always use some other prizes! It could be anything from journal features to subscriptions, drawings, plushies, anything!
If you’d like to donate something, please don’t hesitate to get in touch!

Changes To The Voting Process
I’ve decided to change some small details of the voting process in which we vote for contest entries to ensure there is no favouritism, blackmailing, unfairness etc.
Only members may vote.
You may not ask people to vote for your entry on your journal or otherwise.
You may not trade them something for a vote, for example, “Vote for my entry and I’ll draw you a picture.” This also means no trade-voting, e.g. “Vote for mine and I’ll vote for yours next time.”
One vote per person (as always).
Those participating may not vote because it’s hard for me to keep track of what they’re voting for (as they might be voting for themselves).

*BabyLondonStar is a very well respected plush artist, and we are delighted to feature this tutorial as it has got a lot of people into plush making.
This tutorial had been rated five stars (hard) by *EverybodyPlush, but don’t let that put you off. It’s key for making sturdy, professional looking plushies of whomever you want!
Give it a go!

Tip Of The Month
The best way to learn is by process of elimination. If you’re making a new pattern and it just isn’t going right, keep trying. It may be frustrating, but after all those hours of tearing your hair out, you’ll have a unique pattern to use for the rest of your life!!

Fancy The Idea Of Being A Journalist?
If you have a story or a joke or anything you’d like to be submitted in the EverybodyPlush newsletter, then please get in touch!!
Things were looking for are:
Jokes (plush or non-plush related lol)
Short comics (3-5 panels)
Reporters
Interviewers (for one plush artist a month and the previous contest winner.)
Etc.
This is your chance to get involved and noticed! A link to your DA page will be included if you get involved!!
Just send a note to the club with the ob you’d like to take on, and please get your article to me by the first of the month
