What got you interested in jewelry making?

I had actually started bead embroidery before I found an interest in jewelry making. One day, after about 2 years of doing nothing creative, I noticed a plastic container of my Mom's and asked her if I could play with the sequins, beads, and buttons in it. She said sure. So, after four days of stitching beads to fabric, I had taught myself bead embroidery. It just went on from there.



What was your first piece?

My first piece was a tattoo drawing of a koi. I have a fascination with tattoos and particularly koi tattoos. You can see my first piece here [link]

How long have you been making jewelry items?

I guess it's been about 8 years now.



What all areas are you capable of?

Well, I'm self taught in bead embroidery and bead weaving. I took a certification course for PMC (precious metal clay) and have also learned to create jewelry with polymer clay. I do some stringing, but I don't find it to be as satisfying as spending hours upon hours to complete something. I've done some wirework, but find that I just don't have the patience for it. I also do graphics for my website.



Do you accept Custom requests, and do you take on Commissions?

I can take requests and commissions, but I don't do them often at all. I find that I bead what I have to bead... the beads pretty much dictate what's going to happen to complete the piece
