About the Contest
*Death-By-Romance is a very good friend of mine, and is the sole reason that I joined dA in the first place! I have been meaning to give him a huge thank you for a while, so since today (July 6th) is his 19th birthday, and to celebrate the fact that he is growing through his work, I decided to feature him and also start this lovely contest!

For this contest, I am asking participants to choose one of the five photos by *Death-By-Romance below. Deviants should then comment their chosen one, and write a literature piece based on what they gather from the photo.

Contest Rules
1. Choose one of the five photos above.
2. Leave a comment on the photo that you have chosen. No harsh words, please.
3. Write a literature piece using the photo of your choice for inspiration.
NOTE: Prose pieces must be less than 1,000 words, and poetry pieces must be less than 50 lines.
4. Send a note to *mode-de-vie, with a link to your entry. Also include which photo you used. Please put your user name and 'contest entry' in the subject line.
NOTE: All entries not submitted in a note will be ignored.
5. ONE entry per person.

If any of these rules are not followed, your entry will become incomplete. You will receive a note back telling you what else needs to be done to complete your entry.

Entries will be judged on:
Creativity
Clarity
Style

Comments will be made on every entry. Favorites may be given out after the judging period is over.

How to Deviate
Simply deviate your submission to your gallery. You may be creative with a title- it does not have to be named for the contest. Please deviate your entry into whichever literature gallery it is best suited for.
