Horror Week is officially upon us. As the week progresses, the nights will grow darker and we shall begin our invasion. No one on dA is safe... in the following days, the darkness that we thrive upon shall spread to all the corners of dA.

Now, this is our chance to let the world know who we are. While some play on the dark side of the playground once a year on Halloween, we live in a world where a day without shivers and screams is not worth having.


They say that we are weird.
They say that we are twisted and demented.
They say that we need professional help.

You know what I say?
You weirdos ROCK

Here is a chance for those of us that love the night to step into the limelight. Let's give 'em all we got!!

Keep an eye on the Horror Macabre Resource Guide for schedules, events, and posted articles. ^projecteducate is the official headquarters for Project Educate... and the schedule *would* be on there if I was able to follow rules. But I'm not very good at following rules and the schedule is bound to change on a daily basis. So keep an eye on the Resource Guide. It will be updated as soon as my whim changes our plans

Why do you create and/or enjoy Horror/Macabre Art?

People who don't appreciate horror art (gasp! I know! I didn't think they existed either!) have absolutely no idea why we enjoy playing with the broken bloody toys. What's even more interesting is that we all are either creators or appreciators of horror art for different reasons. So this is what I want you to do. Tell me (in a short paragraph or couple sentences or so) why YOU create horror photography, or why YOU enjoy it! I don't care how you tell me, reply below, send me a note, email, post a journal. I don't care. But before Thursday let me know why YOU like horror. I'll put together an article with all your reasons. Traditionally, this is meant for all of you to meet me, the gallery director for H&M. Screw that. How about all of us horror artists and fans get together and meet each other?! This community of artists is about as cool as it gets, let's get together and get to know one another. I, for one, would love to add some awesome people to my deviantWatch.

The most fun that I had in chats before I became a GD was haning out in the artnudes chatroom and exchanging thumbnails, sharing art, and sharing artistic opinions. We're now doing this for Horror and Macabre. Come to the chat on Wednesday night and ask for thoughtful critiques on your work.
