The object of these articles are to help you familiarize yourself with the vast selection of resources that are available within the Resources gallery. The resource gallery is a hive of activity and has much to offer to help in your creative processes and genre. We are so lucky to have such a large and diverse selection ranging from 3D,Clipart,Film Resources, Fonts, Fractal, textures, literature templates, tutorials and Vector together with many Application Resources for image editing programmes.
All resources are quite easily found by clicking the main drop down menu for categories on front page. From there you will see many categories with their sub categories and as a further option you can further define your search via the small search bar on the right, just as you would for the rest of the devaintART galleries.

Below are just a random few examples and a just a taste of what our gallery has to tempt you.

3d Model

3d Models are for files that can be imported "into" 3d software such as Blender,Bryce, Cinema 4D,DAZ Studio, 3ds Max, XSI, Poser, form-Z, Houdini, Lightwave 3D, Massive, Maya, Modo, Silo, Vue, Vray, Milkshape 3D and zBrush.Some of the file formats are: lwo .fbx .obj,pp2 ,JAS,vob

Clipart.

Clipart are pre-made illustrations that are used in graphic arts for both personal and commercial projects that represent a wide variety of content and are ready to use files,such as GIF, JPEG,EPS and PNG.

Literature Templates.

Literature templates have been specifically designed for the purpose of allowing the members of our literature community to be able to display and sell their work through deviantART prints services.*PrintsForLit was a project born for this very purpose and the gallery category was introduced to our Resources Gallery in December 2007 and they are a welcomed Resource for our writers.They are free to use and are usually covered by a blanket prints permission.

Vector.

Vector Art is a technique, meaning art created in a vector-based program. Vector art is the use of primitives such as Points, Lines and Curves. The vector programs keeps track of the relationship between these primitives. This allows the images created, to be scaled and rescaled without loosing quality or becoming pixelated.thankyou ^Ikue

Vector source files that have all of the vector data included in the submission.some of the file formats are: eps,ai,SVG,cdr.

Miscats

The most common miscats in 3d Model:

Abstract Renders and Renders of people,objects,and backgrounds that come in jpeg,png would go into the relevant stock catagory.Psd's that would go into application resources under psd's.

The most common miscats in clipart:

Sadly this is one of our galleries that falls trap to many miscats of varying images and policy violations.

The most common miscats in Literature Templates.

Are usually literatures pieces,and odd tutorials that have lost their way.

The most common miscats in Vector:

lineart in JPG format,assorted photography,Vector brushes (that would go in application resources > )

It always important to read your category descriptions properly and place them in the right category and sub section,as your resource's will actually get the exposure they really deserve and it will aid our members to find them easier.If you do find anything that you feel is a policy violation please report it for deviantART's administration to take care of.
