This week is coming to end here on DA and it's
Horror/Macabre theme will sadly draw to a close. However, I feel that a lot of questions have been answered in this time and many artist's have had a great opportunity to express there thoughts and comments about the topic and what it is that motivates them. I have enjoyed sharing spooky secrets with like minded artists in the chat rooms and discussing the many reasons why we create the art we do in many news articles. It always interests me to hear peoples motivations and inspirations behind there work.

[link]I hope that even though the week has now come to an end that we will continue to create images that will express our inner fears and possibly make others confront there own. I hope to have inspired other artists to step outside the ordinary and create something that will challenge them whether they are viewing or creating such work. I hope we see another horrific week in the future on DA!

With all things said, horror and the macabre is what drives me. When I am planning for a gory shoot my eyes catch fire in a way they normally don't. It excites me to step outside the conventional. It allows me to take myself further from reality for a moment and try to capture an emotion... fear.
"Fear is related to the specific behaviors of escape and avoidance." In many instances with my "Evidence"

series I look at a model as though I have just come across them and try to capture the emotion I get from that. I also made myself a victim in "Valentines Day Leftovers"

to feel the anxiety of my claustrophobia and fear of death. I want to face my fears and hope to inspire others to do the same.
With all things said, I wanted to feature my most beloved horror artist on DA,

Stitchpuller.
His work is layered with haunting mystery and dark imagery. He has the ability to make you feel as though you walked into a nightmare that you both want to leave, yet explore. His images scare me, and yet I find them stunning.
