Hello! I've decided that from now on I'm gonna feature/interview some very special or better say
amazing artists, because it's always nice to know more about an artist we admire, don't you think so?

You can find there absolutely everything from cut-out stock (life and time saviours) like arches, animals, armor, birds, books, cemetery realated stuff, egyptian, columns, to fountains, masks, plants, pottery, skulls, statues... the possibilities are endless! And that's not everything! Here you can see a few examples from her marvellous stock.

But Kat is not only an awesome stocker - she also creates beautiful art

You can check it out here *
Paintedonmysoul (formerly known as *
Wishmaker-kc)

Her works always inspire me. She is the best example of an artist who creates art with and from the heart. Her lovely creations full of magic and spirit will bring more magic to your life. On top of everything she is a kind and lovely person
ARTIST
1. A few words about the artist behind the picture. Please introduce yourself.I'm just Kat .. a rather private person in some respects, which has proved necessary online. lol.
2. What do you do in your life besides creating art?Other than my art/art, I love to take photos .. and give them as stock. My stock account is *
Peace-of-Art. I tube when I'm bored or stressed. It relieves tension. Other than that, I like to decorate, garden, cook, swim, bicycle. I'm a football nut. I read history books like others read novels, and enjoy museums. I'm rather outspoken politically, and somewhat active in that area. I enjoy theme parks and traveling .. if the dang fuel wasn't so high!
3. Do you have an artistic background?Artistic background. hmmm

.. If you're speaking of educationally, no. I had a son early in life, and took the business route to be able to have an income. Art didn't seem the way to go if I wanted food on the table, but I feel I've always been artistic. I've had several people ask me to help them decorate, I've taught a painting class for porcelain, I've designed wallpapers .. not the digital, virtual kind, but the kind you hang on the wall

ART
4. How did you get interested in digital art?I became interested in digital art, quite by accident. I met someone who was into photomanips and was really taken by it. I knew Rev

, and he invited me to dA. I've learned more here in two years about digital art, than in the 3 previous years I did it.
5. What kind of art do you like? Favourite artists?I can't say I have a favorite type of art. I try to look at each piece individually. But many of the old masters works I am greatly attracted to. I especially love the work of Rembrandt, and one of the best experiences of my life was to visit the gallery displaying his work in Amsterdam. I will never forget it. I could stand for hours looking at his pieces.
6. What is your source of inspiration? As for inspiration, the world around me, nature, museums, and art found here on dA too. I am one who can get lost looking at a sunset, sit for hours watching the ocean waves or the river flow. I've found I even pick apart movies and the artwork that is used in them, or the commercials on tv. Those folks could take some lessons from the many artists here on dA
7. Can you tell us about techniques you use to create your images?Techniques? whoa that's loaded. I'm self taught, so there you go. I begin and somehow reach an end.

FUTURE
8. What would you like to be better at and why? What would I like to be better at? Everything I do. I never feel what I do is enough. I never see anything as finished.
9. Where do you see your art in the years to come?In years to come, I'd like to think I'll have found I've progressed. That's all that's important.
10. Any advice for new artists? Advice to new artists .. If you enjoy it, pursue it. It's not about others and how they react to your art, it's how it makes you feel. Work at it, learn all you can. Take advantage of the fantastic tutorials others here have made for you. Most importantly go your own way. Don't try to imitate another. Don't create only what is popular. Be yourself. The world only had one Rembrandt, one daVinci, it only has one you too. Yes, others might influence you, but do you want to be known for you or as someone who makes a copy of someone else's work? Just be creative, let your imagination take you on a journey.

Thank you very much for the interview
So, that's all for now. I hope you've enjoyed the interview and the feature - if you have any questions or you'd like to see other interviews just drop me a note and I'll see what I can do

Thank you
