reports, July 14Shit, I just got the star syndicate virus, I looked in msconfig and I couldn't find any services or start-up services that were really out of the ordinary. But I got about 300 files of stupid flashes on my desktop, I can't right click for the most part, system restore is fucked up, I no longer have access to control panel, and the list goes on. I got it from that fake 4chan Fandango game.
Also, I can't get on Newgrounds, it keeps redirecting to the Naacp website, and no other pages exist (portal, audio, bbs, etc).

Its easier to remove in vista than XP, go to safe mode and do a system restore. Otherwise, Idk what to do.
Newgrounds isnt loading cause of the virus..
C:/Doc and settings/$your user account$/application data/4chan
This directory contains most of the scripts that were to be executed upon startup. while you are around this area make sure to delete the .bat file in your startup folder.
Also do a search for a folder called "BackupFiles" as it contains copies of the installer .bat file.
One last thing, while trying to see exactly what the .vbe and .bat files were doing I noticed that the scripts seem to replace files involved with the system restore, so using it may be kinda iffy.
I havent really seen any registry changes besides an addition to run the .bat files on startup.
