Community Choice?

This is a bi-weekly article put out by yours truly using your features! The concept is a great one, you select 3-5 deviations that you think are fantastic (not daily deviations, you can select an artist that has had one, but not the daily deviation), do a write up about why it is amazing (about a paragraph) and send me a note with your selections! Great comic, great art, and just a great story. The author of this comic is also very fun to talk to. She is 60+ pages strong and I can't wait to see what will come up next! Also, she also created a great article here that will also help you on your own story. As for the art itself, clearly it is dedication and hard work that brought her to this level.

Okay, this maybe an adcast advertisement but I think this is a perfect way to introduce his story. Our of all the comic artists I've seen, I believe he is the farthest in. He will definitely take you on a wonderful journey. I won't tell anything but rather let you check the first page. That is enough to get you into it. Throughout the story, you can see the improvements he made and he has gone far! Inspirational for people who wants to create their own manga story.

"WitS-Volume" by ~KuriosiT-kat

I finally took some time to start Written in the Stars a while ago and this comic captured my attention fast like how a comic always should. It's a story where powers are activated when that person meets her or her true love. It is more romanced themed opposed to the other two but already it is fun so don't skip it yet just because it's main genre is different from the typical.

Its hard to find pics of bishounen that doesnt have so much yaoi connotations. Its done digital but it doesnt feel like it? I've been jaded by soo much digital art but this one I really like^^

"Sun Kissed Breeze" by ~Cetriya

I'm still a big fan of traditional art. Even though she may not like her color choice, I still love the details and the hair.. its so beautiful

"Broke by Anime" by ~Cetriya

A one page comic that brought me so many LoLs. It's something we can all relate too ^^ I know I cant hold 20$ in my pocket with out spending it on some kind of anime/manga related thing

"Romanticide" by =Emona-DragonDancer

A beautiful character design with a simple colour scheme that is very eye catching. The details in her hair are especially well done. The softness of her skin makes a nice contrast to the dark colours of her clothes and the back ground. Also, her green eyes are a nice subtle contrast to all of the red in the picture.

I love the lighting and shading in this piece. The character stands out from the background in an eyecatching way without looking out of place. And even though the artist calls her pose "recycled", I like all of the movement in it.

I love the background in this piece, especially the way the sky and the trees are reflected in the water. Once again, another wonderful use of colour, and the hair shading is amazingly done.

"Butterflies and Hurricanes" by =Emona-DragonDancer

A different style piece from this artist. The way it's coloured reminds me of an old fashioned wood print for some reason, and I like the subtle use of colour in an otherwise gray scaled picture.


As you can see, everyone had a different approach to this but the outcome was the same: Deviants were featured by deviants! This is such a fun project and I hope to see your submissions for then next article!
