BASIC is back!

How is it played?

This contest takes place on deviantART Messaging Network,or dAmn, in the Artist Relations room, #AR. What you have to do is join the chat, and promote yourself to the the privclass called "BASIC", and then you will be entered into a Timed challenge! You have to create awesome art using only BASIC tools, in the time limit provided! here's how it will work!

Be in #AR on JULY 26 at FIVE PM EST!
Promote yourself to the BASIC privclass by typing in /promote YOURUSERNAME BASIC replacing "YOURUSERNAME" with your own username obviously
^PurpelBlur will then announce the THEME of the challenge and start the timer!
you must head to your photoshop or sketchbook (or whatever you are using) and make your art work around that theme! But there is a catch!!! you can only use BASIC tools!
When the time is up, you must upload your deviation to your scraps/no category , Once time has ran out, participants will then be asked to post the thumb (thumb code is the the right of the Artist's Comments area) of their entry. Thumb posting is not allowed prior to time being called.

Thats it! But there are rules!

Use only basic tools!
For digital this is pencil, brush, fill, for traditional this is Pencil, Pens, and coloured pencils or markers or paint.

Finished piece must be posted in the chat AFTER ^PurpelBlur requests, using the thumb code on the deviation.

your piece must be uploaded to Scraps Only (dont worry, after the contest is over you can move it, if you wish)

you must be in the BASIC privclass to Participate, and stay in the chat for the duration of the challenge.

your entry must contain, or represent the theme in some way.

No photos/ photomanipulations are allowed.
