#dATribes Contest Closed

On June 23^rd, the MN@ Team announced the start of the dATribes Contest. July 21^st marked the end of the contest, and it has been quite a success I must say. Over 4300 people have involved themselves in this game by either actively playing or by being successfully "trapped"!

I really do hope everyone had fun and enjoyed themselves.

The winners will be announced on August 7^th on deviantART's 8'th Birthday! (More on that soon!)

Stuart Immonen's Featured Chat Transcript

Last month we had a Featured Chat with Stuart Immonen! Everyone throughly enjoyed themselves including Stuart. He told me he had a wonderful time and was glad that he agreed to do it.

Telepathy!

Ever came across a thread that was misplaced?
Replied with a in the hope that it does get locked?
Replied with a and just left it at that?

Contrary to current rumors, MN@ are not always telepathic.
If you do find a thread that you think needs locking please report it.

When you do report it, please make sure to include the link to the thread and a reason why.

Common Terms

Seen a MN@ do their thing on and not sure what the reason means? Well nows your chance to find out as we explain some of the common words and phrases we use.

Necro'd

Had one of your threads locked for being "Necro'd"? Has a thread you've tried to reply too been locked for the same reason? The reason for this is all down to the age. If a thread has been inactive for over 6 months, but has been resurrected, it is considered to be necro'd. The reason why zombie like threads are frowned upon is a result of the need for keeping the forum threads fresh and the topics new.

Nope, it doesn't hurt, nor does it require a doctor. The OP is simply the user who posts the initial thread.

        
Flame Fest

Not quite a festival based around fire, but close. A flame fest is a thread that has descended to the point where normal service has ceased and the thread has descended into simple arguing, insulting or general inappropriate comments. Examples could include a thread about which is the preferred cheese before descending into an argument between cheese makers about who has the best product.

Dead Horse

A dead horse topic is a topic that is considered to have been discussed enough and is no longer worth discussing as a result. This can be for many reasons such as it simply being as old as Fella or that no one wants to know about it any more (Things like Naruto's new haircut or whatever is the new hit).
