This is an international exhibit that will tour several countries and by shown in multiple galleries over a two-year period. The title, Strokes for Hope, refers to painting with compassion and a forward vision. It suggests that works submitted will reflect, on some level, that the artist is thinking about issues such as world peace, hunger and poverty that require positive social change. It is hoped that works will create some viewer awareness or stimulate public thought/action about these types of issues. Work may be abstract or realistic. There is no restriction on style. Creative approaches are encouraged!
Eligibility Open to all artists world-wide. Artists are invited to submit up to three pieces for consideration. Works selected by jurors from submitted entries will be chosen on the basis of creative excellence and quality of execution. All works must be original and completed within the last four years. Deadline for submissions is January 20, 2010.
