Featuring Skilled Costumemakers

Now that everyone has had a chance to view and submit to the new Cosplay gallery, we thought we'd feature the superb costumemaking skills by what is some very major talent in the Artisan Crafts gallery. All of these artists have perfected skills that are mostly of the dressmaking kind, from patternmaking and draping to fitting and cutting and stitching, but also woodworking, leatherworking, and metalworking skills used in props-making. What sets these artists apart is that they are both extremely dedicated cosplayers and hugely talented costumemakers. And, they also conform to the guidelines of the Costumes gallery, which includes making their costumes from scratch and then photographing them to showcase the costume. These photos serve a dual purpose in that they not only appeal to movie buffs, gamers, anime and manga fans, and of course, to other cosplayers, but are also good for educational purposes and for sharing with other costumemakers. The artistry and skills of these cosplayers/costumemakers are among some of the best you'll find anywhere on the Internet.

It's possible that these artists might choose to move some of these deviations over to the Cosplay gallery, if they haven't done so already, but in the meantime let's enjoy the impeccable skills and stellar cosplay talent of these wonderful artists!
