Hello fellow dA community members! Tomorrow we embark on a wonderful journey that will hopefully prove to not only be informational to you all on the intricacies that is FRACTALS, but also to see what fun they can truly be!

I am here to outline for you one of the contests that will be run by yours truly (=Rhienel) on Wednesday, 6 August 2008 between the hours of 1 PM EST to 5 PM EST with the results announced by that evening by approximately 8 PM EST. There will be prizes, so please don’t hesitate to participate!! So without further adieu, here are the rules and guidelines:
dA Birthday Chase Rules and Guidelines...

1. Chase will run Wednesday, August 6, 2008 from 1 PM EST to 5 PM EST and all results will be announced by 8 PM EST, as previously stated…

2. There will be a 30 min time limit to each 'chase' in which you will have to locate the target fractalist/artist.

3. There will be 1 of 8 targets in each time period whom you will be 'chasing'

4. If you find the target in the given time period, please note your determination immediately to =Rhienel for scrutiny--the first deviant to locate the target and note their find will be the winner of that 'chase' (please indicate what time zone you reside in for best results in determining the winner; in the case of a ‘time zone tie’ where either two individuals from the same time zone or different ones send a note at the same time, there will be a mini ‘chase-off’ to determine a clear winner between those two individuals)

5. If you receive a note back (from either :devRhienel r ^Sophquest), you are the winner of that round and will be eligible to receive a prize so please check you message center within an hour of the round you have submitted your find; however, if you do not receive a note, you are still eligible for the next round. If you havereceived a note back and are the winner of a round, you may participate further, but will be ineligible for further prizes if you should be the first to find that rounds target individual, however, the next in-line note received with the correct target to be found will then become the winner for that round (Soph wants 8 winners from each round to help celebrate the 8th birthday of dA!)

6. Chase clues will be available and published via Fractasically Speaking (NFotM’s club blog, as the club Admin is the contest hostess… so please check frequently for each round, as the last rounds clues will be hidden from view for fairness and swiftness to move on to the next round in a timely fashion.

7. There will only be one target per round to find so as to not be confusing

8. The target individual from a previous round will be published in #FantasticallyFractal after the round has concluded so that those wishing to know whom they were supposed to be chasing will be able to know finally who it was...( I know I'd want to know lol)

9. No sharing of the target individuals will be tolerated so as to promote fairness in competition with your fellow community members. So please, if you know who the target individual is, and whether or not you are participating, please show good sportsmanship by allowing each participant to find the target on their own by not sharing who it is with anyone else, thanks.

10. And most of all…HAVE FUN getting to know some of the fractal artists of the community!!



So, hopefully all of you will now have something to look forward to on Monday other than another day at work, play or whatever it is you all do for a living!! Tomorrow we kick things off with a "Fractal Family Party and Critique Night!" from 6-10pm EST in #FantasticallyFractal …so be there or be a square fractal script!!
