My little girl is so magical. With a smile she can brighten my world. The glow in her eyes when she tells one of her stories melts away all of the day's problems and concerns. For me, having a child and being able to participate in her life, watch her grow and absorb the wonders of the world, completes me as a human being.
For my latest journal feature I am presenting a visual essay on children -- works by DA artists that beg to ask the question, "Is there anything more pure, more magical than a child?" In short, a concept is an idea. It can range from anything to love, to hate, and all around the world and back again to global warming. The real beauty of it, though, is catching it on film. Whether it's pre-planned and well-thought out or spur-of-the-moment, conceptual photographs take a spin on creativity and challenge our minds to think in the most unusual ways. They also have the power to speak soft but carry a strong voice. Either way you spin it, Conceptual Photographers share their ideas with the world in one of the most unique ways.
