[Noun] A person skilled in fighting with a sword
What an utterly boring and appalling discription of a swordsman. A swordsman is so much more than just a black and white discription. For this is the reason why I have created this contest, to see artists defining what a swordsman truly is. This contest is all about designing a swordsman and seeing which artist creates a swordsman that truly stands out above the rest. However remember the focus is the design of both the swordsman and the sword used.
Contest starts: Monday 4th August 2008
Contest Ends: Sunday 31st August 2008

This "Design a Swordsman" contest will require you to design a swordsman of your own design that must coincide with the following rules:
RULES FOR THE CONTEST
The swordsman MUST be drawn as a human and can be male or female
The swordsman will be judged on the quality of the design AND the quality of the design of the sword
ALL medias are allowed, including masquerading of yourself dressed as your swordsman
Body modifications are allowed ONLY if achieveable in real life
The sword MUST be the primary weapon, but secondary weapons allowed
Backgrounds NOT needed but allowed
NO sexual content allowed
The Swordsman can be coloured OR shaded in black and white
The swordsman MUST have a name and placed as the title of the deviation
ONE contest entry per person
Existing designs of swordsman made before the start date NOT allowed
Please submit your deviation via note to *chioky and title it "Contest."
Now this might seem a bit too many rules however, the main focus was to avoid contestants designing swordsman as orcs, elves, angels, devil and other inhuman beings with swords in hand. If the design of the swordsman becomes to fantasy like then it will be difficult to judge how one swordsman is better designed then the others.
